My husband and I are in town visiting family for the holidays from Wyoming. My husband is a diabetic and he forgot his insulin syringes at home and only had ONE spare. This pharmacy is a sad excuse for an example for our healthcare system and how it's supposed to function. They placed immediate judgement on me for asking to purchase the needles. I was lectured on their ridiculous policy, was told of alternative methods to administer the medications my husband takes, and was told they doubted I would be able to buy the syringes at the other pharmacy in town as well. They COULD have called my husband's pharmacy in Wyoming to verify his prescription for Insulin, for his new medication that requires syringes and his prescription for Testosterone that requires syringes. I thought they might be willing to do that, but they started the lecture first and that turned me all the way off. The other pharmacy was wonderful, didn't hesitate, didn't look at me funny, didn't say a word that they shouldn't have. So this pharmacy and pharmacist, well, they were wrong. They had no idea because they don't care enough to know about the other pharmacy. The other pharmacy has NO such policy because it's ABSURD. Pharmacies like this are adding weight to our already overloaded healthcare system. I'm sure their claim is that they are doing their part in relieving the stress our system suffers due to addiction. In reality, they are adding a heavier burden to the system. If an addict uses needles to take their substance of choice, they don't have the ability to control their need to inject that substance. When they can't get the needles they need from pharmacies like this, they will just reuse needles that were used by them and by others as well, which causes the spread of disease and makes them sicker than they were before they used the dirty needle. You cannot save the world from themselves, Mr. Pharmacist, but you damn sure can offer assistance to prevent them from harming themselves even more. You made ME feel belittled and worthless and I'm not an addict who uses needles, sir. We are ALL addicts, we are ALL addicted to something. Who are you to say that the needle using addicts choice of substance is any worse than your own? No one. That's who you are. You are no one who has absolutely no right to judge anyone else and you are getting your community nowhere. Making others feel small and dirty accomplishes absolutely NOTHING, and that's how you made me feel, so I can only imagine how someone would feel if they were talked to like I was who has a problem so great they require needles to feed it. You should be ashamed of yourself and you should also reconsider your profession Mr. Pharmacist. Now, you go ahead and have a wonderfully blessed day, as you sit in judgment of others and, oh gosh, sir, bless your little heart!
*I'm FROM here so I can say it the way it's MEANT to be said without being admonished for it. Do better or go home. That's all there is to that ridiculousness.*

After today I am not impressed with this pharmacy. My daughter has a disease that requires her to take sol cortef everyday. It takes 8 vials per month per the doctor's script.
She went in today, Jan 10th, 2023 about 5pm. was told they have to order 25 vials at a time to get her 8 vials and they could not afford to do that just for 8 vials. Now my daughter has insurance and a copay of 20$ per vial. This is wrong of a business to push themselves to force someone to buy way more than what the doctor ordered. The girl didn't even know what a 25 gauge syringe was.

This is my daughter's text to me. She was very upset and so was her parents.?

"The pharmacy will not order the amount solu cortef I need for one month they want to demand I buy 25 vials at once and I can't do that ".

You expect a pharmacy to do what is right and not push something off on a young lady. That is not right!

My daught left without her meds. You would not sell her 8 vials and you had that instock demanding
She buy 25!!

Taking medication’s when needed is nothing to be ashamed of,It’s become stigmatized especially in the black community (Our own race will try to make people of their skin tone feel bad for taking medication) It’s important that we raise awareness on these issues in the black community,Receiving proper health care should remain a priority in the lives of many.
Protecting my mental health is extremely important to me as an advocate for Mental Health Care. It’s common for mostly everyone in this world to experience stress! But to catch the balance of Life creates solitude & peace,In A world of mean people-Protection of our mental should remain high,This is how we the people bring justice to those experiencing emotional abuse! It’s a high number of children experiencing trauma in the state of Arkansas and it get’s no attention.
Watson Pharmacy is A gift shop with an array of items to purchase while waiting of your prescriptions to be filled-From nice clothing to beaded jewelry.
The pharmacy offers A drive through for those who maybe would like to protect their privacy or not comfortable walking in.
Either way the staff is convenient & kind.
