They price gouge customers more than any other store in California City.I had an experience with the meat department employee when asked for 1 pound of ground beef he gave me 1/2 pound and was charging me for a full pound.Over 12.00 for a half ! I don't think so! He knew exactly what he was doing and knew the scale wasn't calibrated to read the correct amount and was hoping I didn't notice..Well I have bought enough ground beef in my time to know what a pound looks like and know that would of yielded me 2 hamburgers not 4 in which a pound makes. I did not buy it.I will never buy meat their again who knows how many other customers he has ripped off.Its a shame how they take advantage of people that are just scraping by.People that don't have transportation or any other means to go shop elsewhere.It's a crime.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this local grocery store fully stocked with the essentials needed for a dish I was preparing for a potluck at work! I was SO grateful I didn't have to drive to Stater Bros in Mojave since it was already after 8pm.

The amount this store overcharges should be illegal. They take advantage of California city being food desert with not many places for people to get food. The meat always smells, to be overcharged is one thing but to be overcharged for TRASH is CRIMINAL

Everything is super stocked and produce was very fresh. They also have a lot of quality brands, not just the dollar-store types. I hope this place can keep it up!
