We have been coming here for years. Overall it is a great hotel. Yes, the elevators get busy during peak times but that is really our only complaint. Having a ski rental location in the hotel and the ski valet offering is awesome. We were so impressed by the staff in the ski rental and ski valet this visit that I had to write a review. Great customer service from Nsimba, Rita and Rene! They were always looking to help with a friendly smile. Thanks!

The Westin staff were great. From the bellman, Evan to the ski valet crew of Rene, Rita & Nsimba. The ski valet were ALL very friendly and helpful even on a super busy Saturday. The ease of the short walk down to the Village gondola from the property while your skis and boots are waiting right at the base of the gondola is a very nice touch to a first class stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable especially the signature Westin beds.

Great location and hotel! You’re a short gondola ride from the ski resort and have lots of restaurants that are easily walkable.

The gym is unimpressive but there are some descent sized hot tubs. The rooms are very cozy - a fireplace and balcony was a nice touch.

Would stay here again!

Loved this hotel! The location can’t be beat. Being able to walk to the gondola made the trip so easy.
A+ to the front desk staff who helped us after a very long drive, Willow was fantastic and made us feel right at home and followed up with us to make sure we were settled.
We stayed in the one bedroom and the room was really tight. Felt like they were trying to squeeze too big furniture into a space that couldn’t really fit it. Would have been hard to really settle in for more than a night or too

Just finished a few nights here. I stayed in a one bedroom king suite… very well appointed / clean room. I loved the fireplace! The resort is just one (big) staircase to the mammoth village gondola which meant very easy access to the canyon lodge which I think is the best base camp for access to all the mountain. I’d recommend renting a locker at the Canyon Lodge so you can leave all your gear there and keep things simple (I did premier rental which included the locker and was worth it).

I’ve been visiting the Westin Monache for over 15 years each winter, and it’s truly become my second home. Over the years, I’ve developed lasting relationships with many of the staff, so when there were several changes in recent years, I was understandably concerned. However, I’m happy to say that the new team has been fantastic.||In particular, Carolina, the new Front Office Manager, stands out. She’s clearly dedicated to fostering a high level of customer service, and it shows in every interaction. She’s done an excellent job of leading her team, ensuring that guests feel well cared for.||A great example of this is the significant improvements in the Ski Valet area. Rita has implemented several thoughtful changes that have made a noticeable difference in guest satisfaction and the overall flow of the service. It’s these kinds of updates that keep me coming back year after year.||Through all the transitions, one constant has been Leisha, the General Manager, who has always been a reliable and welcoming presence. Her leadership has undoubtedly contributed to the Westin Monache’s continued excellence.||In my opinion, the Westin Monache remains the best hotel in Mammoth—consistently providing exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Hotel has a great location for skiing.|We (family of 5) stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Fairly clean kitchen and den. Great rooms and super comfortable beds in the two bedrooms. Sofa bed was not comfortable.|Kitchen was stocked with utensils and cookware, no cooking oil or spices provided. |Hotel was packed for the New Years holiday, even so, service was expedited at the restaurant and front desk.|Room service food was ok and delivered fast.|Bonvoy Titanium level gives you free breakfast for 2 per day from a limited - but OK - menu.|Ski valet service was great! We were always kindly greeted by Rita along with Nsimba and Rene. Gear was delivered superfast and always a delight to see them at the end of a long ski day.

We had to evacuate because of the fires in Los Angeles and Tim at the front desk was incredibly helpful. He was very accommodating and we really appreciated it! It’s definitely the nicest hotel in Mammoth and you can’t beat the location. Would definitely come back.
