If I could give zero stars for the Burke Center I would, but unfortunately that’s not an option here. I literally just watched a family member who is a patient of the Burke Center and has been for a quite some time go through one of the roughest things I’ve ever seen in my life! With no medical help or advice from there, the nurse practitioner that was assigned to take care of my loved one was extremely rude and unprofessional. When assistance was requested and needed there was no help at all! After trying to speak to a supervisor or doctor it was left to a simple “ they will call you”. Sadly there was no call or help from the Burke Center. Which lead my loved one to seeking a new doctor who is better educated on the medication they are taking. The medication that they are taking has extreme withdrawal symptoms that could lead to death. Thankfully the doctor that we found is very well educated. So this will never happen again. I would highly recommend searching for a person / place with more experience, knowledge, and an all around better quality of care and humanity.

Jessica Burke went above and beyond to try to help my son who is blind, bedridden and requires Ambulance transportation. Coming out to see him and try to get him to talk with her. He is so non verbal there wasn't much she could do other than advise us as a family and for that I am so thankful. She is truly a blessing

All of these negative comments seem to be insurance related. The Burke center has no control over this. They’re wonderful people and provide a lot of help to those who need it.
My situation is a relatively simple one. It seems some people have unrealistic expectations and purely do not understand how insurance works. Call your insurance before making an appointment - seriously. It’s easy, and if ya can’t do that, whomever leaves these reviews needs much more help than the Burke center can provide. Can’t cure laziness or stupidity. Trust me, I’ve tried.

If your going for anything that doesn't involve medications you will be just fine, but expect never ending problems with medications here. Then they are rude to you, because they messed up. No thanks.. For those thinking it was insurance problems it was not, they did not order the bloodwork on time, twice. They prescribed for an adult for a minor. This is simply not an insurance problem at all

If I could give a negative 100 I would. Absolutely terrible attitude from everyone in that office including receptionists. They have 1 provider. They don't help with meds. I was told at my last appointment that we were going to try this med and if it doesn't work then "I don't know what to do with you" is what I was told after 6 months of seeing this provider. Very unprofessional manners and doesn't seem very educated on meds. Every med I was prescribed felt like a trial for them, they gave samples and didn't even know much about the med. Just very poor education. Malneglect for not sending meds when patient is in an emergency. I could go on but save yourself the hassel and find somewhere else to get seen.

I've been working with my therapist. /physicians assistant for about 3 and a 1/2 years now. She knows me like a book. She knows what questions to ask me. I feel at peace and anxiety free after I have a session. Thank you so much.

I was lied to by physicians at this office for two years. I was told I could not get insurance to help cover the cost of the TOVA test for ADHD, no matter where I went. When you in fact can get it covered obviously depends on your insurance how much, but something is better than nothing.

I was directing my own care, because I work in social work/psych for a living I am aware of the the medications etc. when I would ask about trying something else and would be asking for a drs input they would just say “if that’s what you want we can try that”. THEY ARE THE DRS NOT ME, why was my care not being directed by the dr I was never given any input just the same basic 4 or 5 questions every few months and that was the quality of care they were charging $100’s for. On top of that when my insurance changed I provided them with the new information, they failed to enter it and kept billing the old insurance and are now sending me bills for services when they can’t even type into their own system right. The office staff is rude in person and on the phone.

Do not trust your mental health to this place, there is a reason all of there therapists walked out at once last year.

If I could rate this facility as 0 stars, I would. The mismanagement that occurs here is disgusting. Staff members telling you that you won’t receive a bill and then 3 years later getting a notice that a NONPROFIT MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC is suing you for the balance they reinstated when they realized they were losing too much money. A balance they didn’t try to collect or reach out about. Absolutely disgusting business practices by a woman who says she wants to help her community.
