I very much enjoyed this restaurant. I had the Texas Platter with a house salad and chili beans. The only thing "Texas" about this platter was the size of the meal. It is served on a cafateria size tray and I was unable to finish the meal. The un-Texas (California special) Tri-Tip was very good. However, I could have done without the bbq sauce on the Tri-Tip. The shrimp were large, and the sausage was very well flavored. The half chicken was a little dry but very well seasoned and was great. The highlight of the meal was the chili beans. By far, the BEST beans I have had in a while. They made the platter!

We celebrated my mother's birthday at Sugar Pine Smokehouse, and the experience was wonderful. The food was outstanding. Our order included wings as appetizers, pulled pork sandwiches, steaks, vegetables, onion rings, and mac and cheese. Everything was prepared quickly and to perfection. If you, like me, love an extra cheesy mac and cheese, this dish will not disappoint. While the food was fantastic, the service could have been improved, as the waitress seemed distracted while engaging in conversation with another guest and didn’t offer drink refills. Nonetheless, the exceptional food made for a memorable experience, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Excellent food taste. Chili beans were a little dry to my liking but they had a good flavor. We also order the calamari appetizer and it was delicious. Perfectly fried. The chicken dinner combined perfectly with the pickled onion with oregano. Meat loaf was delicious. Good portions on the meals, more than enough for one person. Our waitress, Kelli was really attentive. TO BAD IT IS GOING TO CLOSE ON CHRISTMAS EVE. I will be returning very soon one last time…

Looking for a late lunch.
Googled this place after finding the Black bear diner just down 99 slammed with people out the door.
Food was good. It was noisy.
If we pass through again, we would dine there again.

Definitely show up during Happy Hour! Half price list of great appetizers and great drinks!

The railroad skin potatoes are delicious. Not a fan of them myself, but I split them with him because hey were really that tasty.

I would also recommend the nachos and they are big enough to be a meal by themselves. If you’re in town, stop by! Service was expedient and friendly!

I would like to thank Sugar Pine Smokehouse for a wonderful dinner tonight. There were 19 of us dropping in from a 3-day convention, and our waitress accommodated us all. She was welcoming, and quick to seat us. She got all our orders right, and for the amount of people in our party, I was very impressed with her great service. She regularly checked in with our party to see if there was anything else we needed. Compliments to the chef(s) for all the delicious meals. Plates ordered were, fish and chips (cod & fries), tri-tip sandwich, house salad, the Texas Platter, Burgers, Steak, Chicken Avocado Club. The Sugar Pine Smokehouse provides a friendly atmosphere with a beautiful view of the the golf course. 5 stars!
