I waited 6 months to see therapist after my last one had left permanently. After describing a horrific incident that took place in my life, the therapist I finally was assigned, told me that I needed to be thankful, and praise God. She completely dismissed literally every single word I said, and suggested that I change therapists. I requested the change only to find out that this is the only one they have, and if I couldn't see her then I'd have to discontinue my medication therapy.
I then requested a discharge, and was told no one else in the state could see me because of the county I live in and took 3 weeks to finally discharge me, if they've even done that.
