Front desk has no clue what they're doing. Some days they bill you and other times they won't with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes they double charge you months later because "they made a mistake" and need payment again. They're allowed to cancel your child's appointment day of, if you do though then you owe them a fee. Front desk is ridiculously rude and check ups aren't done at your child's appt, I've switched care and it's much more thorough. The office and Dr rooms are also like 85 degrees, humid, and stuffy during Summer making wait time uncomfortable. 10/10 don't recommend

I’m surprised by the positive reviews since the yelp reviews appear to be in line with the service I experienced. This office was never able to get my prescriptions right even after two office visits. The nurse practitioner is terrible and does not follow through even though she assured me she would.

Spent numerous hours trying to get my medication and this office wasn’t able to. The office manager in Grass Valley was worthless and unable to do anything. After hours of calls and running out of medication, I ended up calling my doctor who is out of the area and he sent it in same day. Thank you Stanford Medical.

I recently moved to Penn Valley from out of the area, and I needed a new healthcare provider. I heard that there was a new Family Nurse Practitioner nearby at Sierra Care Physicians, so I signed up. I really enjoyed my visit with Karen Greenhaw, FNP. She was friendly, allowing me to ask many questions, and she answered all of my questions. The front desk people and the nurse were very pleasant, as well. I would certainly recommend Sierra Care Physicians.

I highly reccommend Penn Valley's Sierra Care Physicians office with Dr Berezniak and Dr Burt. They have provided my entire family (my parents, my inlaws, my siblings and my child) compassionate and thorough medical care for the past 20+ years. Their team works closely together to provide the best care from the first very first moment of contact.

While I know that many medical offices have faced many challenges the past few years since the pandemic and , whether it was the influx of sick patients, navigating ever-changing rules and regulations, mask mandates, social distancing, offering virtual visits when appropriate, having me or my family seen in sick clinic when I have symptoms (thank you for taking the steps to keep people safe and well!), staffing/referral/authorization challenges, (it is shocking how many specialists we have lost in this area as of late and how hard this office works to help get me in with someone--I still try my best to help provide their office with all the info needed like finding out ahead of time what drs my insurance is contracted with when i need an referral sent outside the office. I realize I am not their only patient and I appreciate them and the time it takes to get an authorization on hundreds of other patients. Who knows if the pt seen before me is needing an urgent referral/testing order for a suspected possible cancer diagnosis? That really puts things into perspective for me.)

The front desk is an absolute treasure and wealth of knowledge. She knows her stuff and has a heart of gold. Their schedulers/phone operators are kind and so helpful.

The medical assistants know I am squeemish when it comes to needles and are so understanding and talk me through it making it quick and painless.

I love that they have a web portal for non-emergency communication with the office. I can message the doctor, request an appoinment or request a refill. This saves me so much time!

When I have questions, they are always transparent and informational, explaining their process and what to expect.

If I call at the end of the day/or approaching a holiday, they always offer up backup options so I know I will be taken care of should the need arise.

I really do not feel that the doctors, medical assistants, receptionists and phone operators get enough credit on the day to day for what I have seen them deal with.

I have referred many neighbors, friends, coworkers to SCP over the years. They just welcomed Nurse Practitioner Karen Greenhaw to the practice recently. When referring, I do let them know that may take some time to establish care at first, but it is worth the wait because they are simply the best!

I am very happy with the care I receive from Sierra care physicians and Dr. Burt. I am away from home most of the year working in a truck with the concert industry. They have always accommodated me even while being far away with webcam visits. The office staff have always gone above and beyond. Always friendly..

I can't say enough how happy l am that l switched over to this office. Karen Greenhaw is wonderful! She takes time out to listen to you and is very sweet. Best care lve had in years. The office staff are all lovely as well.

It's the hardest to get an appt with Sierra Care with Dr Berenizak . Anytime I do go in she rushes through my appt before I am done with my questions. I asked to switch doctors but they won't allow it. I was referred to a specialist who wouldn't see me until two tests were done. I kept calling Dr Berenizak and everytime she said she was working on it which took several weeks (2)
The specialist told me all it takes is a phone call. Extremely disorganized and the woman at the front desk can be rude. I just feel like they dont care about
their patients. Also they never call back when they say they will. Very frustrating.
If you decide to go to this office you will need to be constantly following up on the staff and Dr to make sure what they say is getting done. Constant miscommunication, incorrect coding on tests to be done, therefore sent back to office delaying time,
Dr Maura lacks personal skills not giving enough time to state your concerns
Basically, you can see I wasn’t happy at all

Sierra Care is my primary care office and has been for years. I have had to reach out to them multiple times to get referrals sent out to other offices for various procedures. Every single time they have sent the wrong referral code, lapsed in sending it past my appointment time, or sent it to the wrong location. They are consistently the rudest medical office I have ever worked with. Every time myself or other practitioners have tried to call them to fix the problem with their referral codes they have been rude, dismissive, and impatient. Not only have I never been treated with more disrespect and disdain by a medical office - I have never dealt with a more poorly organized and operated business. I have lost $1,000 having to pay out of pocket for a procedure because they sent the wrong referral codes and have had to reschedule countless appointments day of due to their inability to communicate and share necessary information. Worst. Medical. Practice. Ever.
