I bought a Groupon for my children and had a great experience initially with scheduling. I promptly filled out the paperwork and waivers needed prior to starting lessons.
When the day of our first lesson showed up, we arrived a few minutes early, checked in at the office. We were told to wait and that our instructor would "come find us." We waited for a while and by this time, our 30 minute lesson should have already started ten minutes prior. We went back into the office and asked if the lesson with our assigned coach would still be taking place. We were told our lesson would start soon and to go back by the pool and wait for our instructor. After waiting (until the time I our lesson was scheduled to end), we returned to the office and let them know that we would like a refund and that we would not be pursing lessons with them further.
We were told that their "new software system is having some issues that are preventing teachers from seeing their schedules correctly." I completely understand that these types of things can happen, however we interacted with the office staff multiple times throughout the time we were supposed to be having the swim lesson and no one alerted our coach or explained to us what the issue was or that they could reschedule the lesson.
They did follow-up and assist with Groupon giving us a refund since we did not receive any of what we had paid for.
We were very excited to begin lessons here and were hoping for a much different experience.

Just got done with our first lesson. We did the parent tot class and the instructor, Jodie, was amazing! The methods are great and she did such a good job explaining everything.

My kids have been on Sea Otter swim for about 6 months. The progress has been incredible!!! I am thrilled with how customizable and consistent they are, irregardless of instructor. When instructors leave or fill in, I don’t feel like the quality of the lesson is compromised at all! Highly recommend!

Your experience can only be as good as the instructor. If they are fun and friendly your child we have fun. We loved our original teacher, but when she would call in sick… the subs left something to be desired.

The subs would cut the lessons 5 minutes short every time. On day 8 we had 4 great lessons and 4 lessons with a sub which equaled a total of 20 minutes taken away from our son. Lessons are 30 minutes! We almost had an entire lesson taken from us!

When we gave our notice to leave we were given a choice of two days to pick from. Without notice they charged me for the last lesson because it was the start of a new month. If I would have know that… I would have pick a different last day. They wouldn’t refund me even after I spoke with management!

We will never recommend or go here again!

Docking points for overall scheduling/ cancellation of lessons and not being able to reschedule with ease. You are locked in to a day and time which is great until the teacher cancels or quits and than you cannot reschedule at all. You get marked as a "credit" to rollover onto another day or the fee will be deducted the following month. My child has gone through about 5 teachers in 3 months. Teachers quit and you lose that day and time forever because they have no back ups. No wonder the instructors are quitting left and right. Extremely frustrated with the lack of subs available and non flexibility with rescheduling.

If you call and leave a message, nobody will acknowledge they got it. You just have to "hope" they listened to it. Will be looking into going somewhere else 100%. Gave it 3 months and over $600. No thank you.

Cancellation policy only works in their favor. They can cancel last minute and credit your account, but if you give significant notice that you will be missing a lesson they offer you a "family swim pass" for an hour and half open swim on Saturdays only. If you call out as an absence and they cancel the lesson or close the pool, you still only get a family swim pass, no refund or credit. My 15 month old falls on the wet concrete near the gate every week. All they said was oh we will move a mat and scrub the floor better. And put a sign up saying slippery when wet. My 4.5 yr old has gone through 5 teachers since she has started in early 2021. We spend $60/ wk there and the family swim passes value don't even equal close to that amount. We will be looking into other options

Wow. This facility is such a treasure. Nestled on a country road, so we always enjoy the drive, but still convenient to everything. The instructors are talented and caring and the pool sparkling. Management is ever gracious and a joy to work with. My boys love, love swimming lessons and literally count the days until their next class. I seriously cannot recommend SOSL enough. Thrilled we found them! Valerie is amazing!

Amazing facility, office staff, and teachers. Teachers seem to all love what they do.

Clean facility.

We had teacher Summer for our son's initial introduction to water. She was extremely patient with him. He cried for the first six weeks, but now he is climbing out of the pool and flipping over like a pro. We look forward to many many more swim lessons here.
