dont go here! someone close to me attempted suicide and we rushed them to the hospital with an OD. they treated him like a drug addict and took no action for 16 hours. repeated pleas to nurse John in the emergency room for attention lead to zero resolution of this problem. my family members tox results were clean, but they tried to tell me that someone who is a runner and a vegan would spontaneously decide to take bath salts. ( they judged him because he is black and heavily tattooed. ) shame on your staff! after 16 hours, he stopped breathing and was moved to ICU where we spent 7 days with acute kidney failure, several blood transfusions and dialysis . ICU did an amazing job, thank you Dr: Maserati and Nurse Toya. he called the poison control and followed all the recommendations for ibuprofen overdose, which is what I had told the ER doc and Nurse John , who threw away the empty bottle I brought in because it was "irrelevant" because I did not witness him taking the pills. we were in the ER for over 16 years and my family member received nothing but one bag of IV fluid. oh and If anyone from admin is reading this, please address the repeated HIPAA violations that occur in the emergency room, while I sat behind the curtain and waiting for compassion and care ( which was immensely lacking) I heard everyone story , full name DOB and SS numbers. after bringing this concern up to the nurse John, he said well did you write it all down? if you didn't than it doesn't matter!!! ( how do you still have a job dude!!!! how?) DONT GO HERE! and to the nurse who had gastric bi-pass surgery and lost a lot of weight, it maybe just another day at work seeing someone be intubated and on the brinks of life/death, but honestly no one cares about your weight loss. the person you pushed up to the ICU is a human being! please treat people with dignity and compassion.
