Polara health presscott valley is a joke. All of my appointments have been over zoom. I can't reach Dr Frost through a direct number. I have to call Polara Prescott Valley and they transfer me to a voice-mail that says they are on vacation. I leave messages and don't get a response or call. I've been trying to get a medication change for over 3 weeks. When I did get a call one time from Dr Frost assistant I told her about the voicemail message. She said oh yeah that was from a month ago. Yet, every time I was transfered the message was the same. Why are the Dr's all working out of their homes? While talking to them I see their pets in the background. I thought this was a medical establishment that is supposed to help us with our problems not cause more. Thank you Polara my Anxiety goes up whenever I HAD to deal with you!

Really wanted to leave a positive review since when I did talk to the staff it went well. But after coming home I had this itch, that itch seems to be some kind of fungus or athletes foot. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHOWER THERE, even if they hold you for 2+ days or a week or more. It just is not worth it, i’ll be seeing my doctor tomorrow.

This place doesn't really care about you. You contact them. And they blow you off until they feel like it. You get totally lost in the crowd. Fall between the cracks. Many times the ones who need help the most don't get it. Evidently I didn't act up enough. I was promised access for future appointments with Cherie at the Crisis Stabilization Unit. But was shut out by staff when I showed up for help. I wouldn't recommend the place to my dog after that.

I'm updating this review. As I thought I received no follow up about the problem. I lost my car because of getting taken online. And it isn't easy for me to get to Prescott. But I heard zero from them as far as support. They worry more about intake paperwork more than treating me. I could see if I wasn't a patient before. But I was. So they have left me twisting in the wind. Just shows the terrible state of mental health treatment in this country today. It's bad enough when you have to live half your life in the dark as I did. Before the diagnosis and medication they have today. But then to have people turning their backs on you. Thanks for nothing West Yavapai.

I am reviewing West Yavapai Guidance Clinic for their inpatient facility. After signing up for services I was told that if I was having a hard time I could speak to a crisis counselor. I was given the impression that I was just discussing things and venting to the counselor and then I was told that the doctor of the inpatient facility wanted me to go inpatient. I was told it was completely voluntary but if I refused, I would possibly be court ordered for treatment. The person who did my intake at the facility was in no condition(still doped up from a tooth extraction) to process my paperwork and barely told me(while slurring their words and complaining about other workers) anything I would need to know. I was told to change and handed a cup and sent on into my room. I was a vegetarian at the time and their meals relied heavily on meat being the source of protein so I often couldn't eat the main part of the meal. A nice lunch worker would sometimes bring me bread slices and little jelly packets so I had more in my stomach. In between group sessions and meals there wasn't much to do as the place didn't even have a TV room and the book from the "library" were old and a little weird. The shower was broken and leaked out of the "shower room" quite often and the only temperatures were freezing cold or scalding hot and the water was on a short timer. I was told that I would spend just a couple of days there, when I saw a doctor who pushed my release date further out. The doctors barely met with me a total of 5 minutes the whole 7 days that I spent there. Each time I met with them, they simply told me I would be staying longer. When I realized that they were keeping me a week because that's the max amount of time my insurance would pay for, a member of the staff assured me that wasn't the reason and they just wanted me to get better. (Which was a lie, might I add.) I don't even remember the first day or so I was there because they had me so doped up on sedatives I just slept. The only thing that made my stay there bearable was the nursing staff. They were very friendly and down to earth and talked to us like real human beings. They helped get me further situated since the original staff member who checked me in was not in his right mind.(Which he approached me later during my stay and apologized for, also apologizing for bad mouthing other staff members to me) It is not the worst facility to go to, but for how much they charge per day to stay there, the place needs to be much nicer and have more to do. I absolutely hated that week of my life and I feel like I was finessed into having to go in the first place.

As far as the non-inpatient services, they have that completely right. My therapist once I returned home was extremely wonderful and I absolutely hated having to leave her once I moved.

I was turned away today (3/3/22) because I am a self-pay patient. I was told they only have the staff to help people with insurance.

I am in the middle of a mental health crisis. It is already tremendously hard to ask for help in this state. But to be told that others are more worthy of being helped than me because of how I pay is devastating.

I have a life, a family, a job. I am doing the best that I can to be a productive member of society and to get helped. But to constantly be kicked in the face after putting everything into this system and getting ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in return makes everything absolutely hopeless.

They gave me no referrals to anyone else. No nothing. Told me to get lost basically.

OUR SYSTEM IS ABSOLUTELY BROKEN.

Thank you for nothing.

Worst experience of a lifetime, they do not treat you with any respect. Only one lady, the nurse/doctor was kind to me. I was dosed with drugs and told my children would be taken from me. I work 6 days a week I'm a good mom. Everything I do is for my kids and for them to traumatize me like that was unacceptable. I'm horrified and will be pressing charges and contacting my lawyer.

I'm so sorry but this place just gets gradually worse. I HAD an amazing therapist in the kids section until maybe 2 months ago due to put growing the section. Got another therapist and I call to cancel qn appointment just for them to tell me I no longer even have a therapist. What a joke. No wonder the people in this town are so depressed and have no will to seek help

Horrible. Do not go here. They do not call back when messages are left. They do not inform you that they are not in network with your insurance. If you need medication and it needs pre-authorization it will not be handled in a timely manner. We are still waiting 2 weeks after a prescription has been written for them to get the pre-approval for the prescription. I would give them zero star rating if possible.
