They've raised prices & the packages are smaller. Management sometimes closes up to 20 minutes early, they will have security lock the door & not let anyone in. One cashier was talking on her phone the entire time she was ringing up my purchase. I was overcharged on 2 items & when I told her, she acted like I was disturbing her.
I don't have money to give away. Some cashier's are very RUDE, attitude problems & just short with words...snipping at customers.

This Safeway is better than my local store because it is huge and carries many more items than the smaller Safeway stores, like in N. Berkeley. But it does not have that many specialty items nonetheless.

This store has the same problem as the one in N. Berkeley, it just doesn't have enough cashiers staffed during busy times. This morning, only the express lane and the self-checkouts were open. So if you had to do a large cart of shopping today, you would have to check yourself out. The downside is that customers are much slower checkers than the cashiers who do this job on a daily basis.

If you go here on a weekday morning, it is pretty quiet and you can get in and out fast. Otherwise, not so much.

I really appreciate the cashiers at the self checkout. They are very kind and attentive to my concerns. I honestly give them a thumbs up 👍

It's a good place to shop. Bagging your own groceries make the line go much faster than at Safeway, and other stores where they bag the groceries for you. The tore is usually well stocked and they are now open until 1:00am. Sometimes it's hard to get a grocery cart. They have lots of reduced cost items. I will say using paper bags is a problem. They are not strong and break real easy. I wish they would find a real substitute for paper. I think it's a good place to shop.

Pretty crowded most of the time with some long line at the cashier. They have lots of registers but probably only 2 or 3 open at a time, not including self check out. Most of the staff seem overwhelmed and a little rude. There are some really nice people working there though. You can usually find parking but the parking lot is a mess with people driving the wrong way down one way lanes. It's okay at best. Can't expect much from this Pak n save (safeway).

I don't why it is that this Pak N Save is the most under staffed of all I have been to?
Before they gave the store a face lift it was a disaster in general plus you had to wait
in line forever.
Now the store looks great, all products in stock but still HORRIBLE customer service. I feel
bad for the cashiers especially now because if you want to purchase alcohol they have to leave
their register, grab a key and to and get the bottle!!! Does not make sense!!
Clearly Pak N Save can afford to have one person in charge of the liquor department so that the
cashiers can do what they are supposed to do, ring up the products!

It doesn't matter what time you come, every single time the lines to the few open registers are so long that many times I give up and leave my cart with everything in it and I walk out.
It is especially upsetting knowing so many people need work!!

Seriously, stop running this store like it is your step child!

The Deli Department opens at 6 a.m. Twice I have gone there at 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. They always have turkey cut up for sandwiches, but even though the deli has been open for 3 to 4 hours, they still have not cut up any ham, that I like for my sandwiches. This has happened twice, one time after the other. I was and am thoroughly disgusted with Pak N Save, and will not go back there again. The store is clean, staff friendly, but that does not help me when I can not get the food I want. Very poor customer service!!
