I was leaving nambe drugs after picking up medications when I dropped my wallet. Only a few minutes later I got a call from Nambe drugs that they had my wallet as someone had turned it in, and I *hadn't even left the parking lot yet*. I am very impressed with and grateful for Nambe drugs. This shows me they are an honest business and very very quick to look out for customers.

Wife ordered a refill on Wed evening, Dec. 4. They said they would have it Dec. 5. I went by Thursday, Dec. 5. Not ready. they said 30 minutes. My wife told them I had to catch a plane tomorrow at 4 pm so it has to be ready. Not ready - wasted 20 minutes of waiting and I couldn't wait any more. They should have filled it right them. I barely made my plane due to this situation. Poor customer service.

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I have lived in Los Alamos for 5 years and this is my first time attempting to have a prescription filled here. I have autoimmune conditions and have avoided COVID until today. I was prescribed paxlovid because I am a high risk patient. I called Nambe on the way to the ER to ask if I received a prescription if they would be able to fill it, they said yes. Then I called on the way from the ER and said I have COVID, can you bring my prescription out to me? They said yes. After sitting in the parking lot for an hour, I called again and was told they would not process my prescription without a GFR (kidney function) lab result from within the past year and that I would need to call my doctor to have it sent to them. My doctor is closed on Friday so I called Tri-Core. Tri-Core requires the pharmacy to call them. I asked them to call and they had Tri-Core fax the lab results. Of course they didn’t write down the information correctly and got the wrong lab results. I called back and the pharmacist argued with me and hung up on me when I was trying to ask if they could call the hospital. So, I finally just went inside with my mask. They said they were calling the hospital and I should leave. I then called the hospital. Nambe had not called them. The hospital was able to call and said that it should be filled. I have been here 3 hours and they keep hanging up on me. I called the hospital back to see if they could transfer it because no other pharmacy requires GFR numbers. My prescription cannot be sent to another pharmacy because Nambe accepted it. They are holding my prescription hostage. All while I feel absolutely miserable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

To be honest my wife came 15 min before closing, but the morons in there didn't tell her to come tomorrow instead they left her waiting for 30 min while they were doing god knows what - by the way there was no-one else in there.

Nambe has been incredibly professional and kind every single time I have been in to pick up a prescription. I love that I can refill through an app and send messages to the pharmacy. They’ve been able to help with needed expedited fills a couple times, even calling me as I left the hospital to make sure someone was able to pick up for me before they closed on a Saturday. The last 6 months of my life have been a medical nightmare, but Nambe Pharmacy has been so wonderful to my husband and I both through all of it. Thank you!

Took a week plus three in-person visits to get basic prescriptions filled. Staff is rude. They say “we’ll have it ready later today,” then when you go in the next day, they say the same thing again. They are not at all apologetic, either. Express Scripts can ship something faster than Nambe will fill it. I’d rather pay out of pocket at Smiths than deal with these people again.

UPDATE - 4/20/24: Walgreens on S. St. Francis Dr. compounded my prescription two days after I transferred it from Nambe Los Alamos, and charged me a QUARTER OF THE PRICE! No joke. The compounding pharmacist at Walgreens actually finds Rx discount codes and applies them to compounds that aren’t covered by insurance! Amazing 🙏

Nambé Drugs in Los Alamos used to deliver compounded prescriptions to its sister pharmacy, Nambé Drugs in Santa Fe (which does not compound), where SF customers could then pick them up. However, about 1.5 years ago, without any explanation, they stopped sending compounds down to Nambé SF, and instead offered Santa Fe customers two options:
1) drive to Los Alamos to pick up their compounds (sure), or
2) have their compound mailed to their home address for a fee.
I opted for number 2 and was charged $12.00 for USPS shipping to my home. This was working okay until this month when they changed their “policy” yet again, now requiring a signature for the mailed prescription, which meant they were charging me $12 to drive to the post office and stand in line to sign for my regular prescription every month!! 😳
When I called to request a refund of the shipping fee to my credit card they keep on file, they stated that they “would not be issuing any refunds” as the DEA had been requiring signatures on mailed compounded prescriptions since 2023(!) This was a total surprise to me since I had never had to sign for my mailed prescription until now. 🤔
So, Nambe Drugs in Los Alamos is shifty - they have found ways to charge customers a premium fee for basic pharmacy services. They essentially lie about standard legal practices and seem to arbitrarily change their “policies” without notification. Having used them for ~5 years, I can also tell you that you’d best try to call in your refills at least 2 weeks ahead of time since this pharmacy is mind-bogglingly inconsistent in timely filling and shipping (no more pandemic excuses now). On top of it all, customer service is dicey - you never know what kind of attitude you will get when interacting with staff by phone. Oh, and there’s no guarantee your prescription container will even be in one piece upon delivery, despite your troubles (see photo). If 0 stars were an option, that’s how I would rate Nambe Drugs Los Alamos. Try Walgreen’s on S. St. Francis Drive instead - they also compound. (Update: And charge 1/4 of the price!)

After spending three days in the ICU, my nephew needed to pick up insulin to keep his health stable. His prescription was sent to Nambe. He got there close to closing, but the cashier refused to help him because she already decided she had seen the last customer of the day. Her flippant attitude is detrimental to the health of the pharmacy's customers and I'm disgusted that Nambe Drugs supports such a careless regard for their patients.
