Ivy is a skilled, knowledgable and caring acupuncturist. She has the ability to hold space for my various concerns and worries. I really enjoy working with her and my health and well being has improved as a result! I appreciate her extra care and communication during the pandemic. She also has online workshops and offerings that I utilized during lockdowns. Her office also happens to be a tranquil and beautiful healing space. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

There are tons of options for acupuncture treatment in SF and Oakland. I've been to many acupuncturists, what sets Ivy apart and makes her best compared to others is the high level of holistic care. Ivy is concerned with both your physical and emotional health, which are so connected to how your body feels. I attribute the subsiding of my migraines and internal ulcer to these treatments. The space itself and very welcoming. I never felt comfortable going to a doctor's office until now.

When finishing with Ivy I had a better idea of my overall health and how to open mind to approach it with care. In the past I never would think of using this treatment until I was in pain, but now I use it so I don't get sick and so that I stay healthy in more than just physical ways. And another big plus is all the awesome products she's has made to help you maintain for self-care at home. I'd go every week if I could.

Quick review update July 2024: Love Ivy's new space in Berkeley and it's even more conveniently located with plenty of parking in a quiet area! It's so great the space has expanded services to include bodywork and workshops ! Definitely book your next massage with Rhea, she is intuitive, attentive, kind and I felt like she really curated our session to meet my body's needs in the exact spots that I didn't even realize I was holding in so much tension.

This review is long overdue. I saw Ivy back in 2022 over four months and she was an integral part of my healing. I initially went in to treat my chronic pain in my lower back and an acute knee injury, but I came out of the treatments renewed not only just physically, but also spiritually. Ivy’s holistic approach to healing taught me a wealth of knowledge. It allowed me to see health in a new perspective that my body isn’t just the muscles or ligaments of the pain source, but there’s an underlying energy source that needs to be addressed to. I've really felt the difference in my daily life especially during a difficult time of processing grief. I'm feeling more centered, balanced and present 🙂 I would highly recommend Ivy, the attention and care she puts in cultivating an inviting atmosphere with her kindness is top notch.

Ivy is a skilled and empathetic practitioner who has created an oasis in the new Luminae space in Kensington. I attribute much of my grounding and resiliency during the birth of my first kiddo to the nourishment and care I received at Luminae. A pandemic, five years, and another baby later, I returned hoping to work on depletion and stress. Two sessions in, and the changes I am observing are significant and lasting. Ivy offers advice and counsel about finding balance according to TCM principles and teachings, acupuncture, aromatherapy, sound bath, ear seeding, and herbs, among others. She is a gifted healer who has cultivated a magical space. I cannot recommend her practice enough.

I went to Ivy on Valentine's Day of this year to treat myself and I am so glad I did. She's out of my insurance coverage but spirit was telling me that I needed to experience a session by her. The consultation of walking through my health history was very informative and she made it easy to understand what was happening in my body/ mind/ spirit through the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ivy has an intentional and customized approach to the session itself and kept me informed every step of the way. The sound healing and crystals and thinking/ talking prompts resulted in one of the greatest releases I've had from any Practitioner I've worked with. I was releasing these emotions for weeks, but felt so much better after I let it all go. I also left with a detailed regimen for foods, supplements, and teas to encourage my body towards balance.

I currently get acupuncture in my insurance network, with check ins from Ivy every so often. But please know, the moment I can, I will be seeing Ivy exclusively! I 100% recommend Luminae Wellness?

Ivy is a blessing to this community. I met Ivy through my role as a birthworker so we first connected about our love for supporting birthing people and their support systems. When I began working with Ivy, I was looking for support around an inflammatory response I was experiencing on my scalp. I had tried everything possible to address this inflammation and was beginning to try to accept this as my new normal or a chronic condition, but then I started working with Ivy. After month or two of acupuncture sessions, herbal remedies, and emotional/spiritual recommendations, my scalp had cleared completely. Ivy goes beyond the physical body to address the mind and spirit just as deeply.
