My wife went in on 11.12.24 at approximately 3:10 pm to make an appointment for our son, the receptionist was very rude, handed my wife a card and stated I don’t have time to help you, you can go down the road to our other site to make an appointment. This is not how you treat customers. There is no reason to return if that is the kind of treatment you will get.

A class in customer service is recommended, and if you are so busy, try being nice about it and recommending in a pleasant tone to either wait or offer the option to go to the other location.

I am only giving the one star because the doctors do a great job with their patients. But the front desk staff is incredibly rude. The front desk Aaliyah (I am not sure of the correct spelling so my apologies for that) but she cut me off and told me I owe a $25 dollar no show fee for a time they were actually closed during a power outage and then she stated I owed another $25 fee but could not show proof of any contact to explain the fee or any confirmation of appts. She said a person should know if they missed an appointment that they are charged, but why am I charged when you all weren’t open. She raised her voice at me and was extremely condescending. She told me to hold on because I asked if she was having a bad day. And she then transferred me to the office manager Erica Perreria who was almost just as snippy. Marin is a small county and it’s not right to treat customers in that way especially when the situation could have easily been resolved if they showed a little tact and customer service. I really miss Josh as the office manager he was very kind and cared about the patients.

Terrible experience. Went in to get new lenses. So had to get a new prescription. I asked the doctor to give me the same prescription as my current glasses but she messed it up and gave me the wrong one. I had my lenses replaced with that prescription, not knowing that it’s not accurate. It took them 4 weeks to get me my glasses back and when they finally did, they cut the lenses wrong. So I had to wait 2 more weeks to get them back again. Then when I finally got them back I told them I’m not seeing well and they told me it’s the same prescription as my old lenses. It wasn’t. I went to a different optometrist and they told me the new prescription is off. I will never go back. What a waste of money.

Larkspur Landing Optometry is absolutely exceptional! I had some hiccups with my United Healthcare - Spectera insurance, but their team worked magic to resolve everything seamlessly. I want to give a special shoutout to Aliah, who showed incredible patience and provided outstanding customer care throughout the entire process. Her professionalism and kindness made all the difference. Thank you so much for your help and support—this office truly goes above and beyond for their patients. Highly recommend!

The optomologists here are good. Very pleased with that part and their replacing of lenses with new prescriptions. Admin however is a big fail. They never answer phone calls and despite the message saying that they will call back in one day they don't. More concerning is their billing. I was told that Medicare did not cover exams so I paid for those. I late found out that they had also been paid by Medicare. When asking for a refund I was told that they couldn't do that as accounting was in Las Vegas. I provided them all of the relevant copies but didn't hear back so I had to file a claim using other alternatives. Beware.

These folks lost our business last week after their scheduler refused to put me on the calendar for October because that’s when my insurance renews? Very strange, circular conversation about how I “don’t have valid insurance” so I “can’t make an appointment” that went round and round in circles. (No I’m not a new patient, but I guess that counts for nothing.) Fortunately, many other places in Marin value my time and money more than Larkspur Landing Optometry and I was able to make an appointment at For Eyes about 10 minutes after this deeply unpleasant experience. If you like rude customer service and people who waste your time, definitely come here!

They don’t return phone calls/messages. Ignore you when you walk in looking for service. Once took 2 months to properly deliver the contacts I ordered through them.

I had the most awful experience with the Doctor. Gina Day.. She threw me out of her office after I asked her to let me know before she puts the bright light up against my eye because it gets irritated by the bright light and sunlight. I didn't yell or anything like that. I said it calmly that the procedure was uncomfortable. All of the sudden She snapped at me that I can leave! Then she rushed from the office in the back of the building to the front door and told me to leave her establishment! In front of customers and employees. I was speachless. One of her employees gave me a look as if to say I'm sorry that happened to you. He didn't seem surprised however. That made me think that this more than likely happens a lot. Which is why I feel I need to speak up and not sweep this under the rug. I'm seriously thinking about legal action. Unbelievable!
