Kelly Anker is a master of her craft. She knows how to celebrate all types of curls, how cuts interact with head shape, and can teach technique with excellent products! She takes the time to ask questions to better understand what you desire out of your haircut. She really listens- even to the things you’re not saying, which is why she’s so intuitive in knowing what you truly want with your hair. After talking with me a bit, Kelly realized that all I needed was a few snips to tide me over to a later appointment so that I could stick with my ultimate goal of growing my hair a little longer. (She charged me nothing for the snips.) You really feel like you have a partnership with Kelly!

They are so welcoming, kind and patient! They were so kind to me and took the time to make sure I knew each step of how they did my hair! I’m learning how to take care of my curls and they had me participate in every step of the process! At the end they gave me a custom booklet with instruction on each step of how to do my hair! And as a bonus they have 2 adorable well behaved dogs! This is my before and after picture! I would never imagined that my hair could be so beautiful!!!

My first visit to Kindred Curl was excellent. My stylist was Kelly. I brought inspiration pictures and explained what I wanted. She advised she had a different vision for my curls than my inspiration. To which I said, let's go for it. I am SOOO happy with the results!! She listened to my "why" and goals and was able to interpret that what I truly needed was something different than what I thought I wanted. Best experience you can get, right? Also, shout out to Janaya. She is fantastic and sincerely cares for her clients successful hair journeys as well.

I had my first appointment at Kindred Curl and I cannot say enough good things about Kelly, Janaya, and the salon! Both Kelly and Janaya made it a point to get to know me and my hair goals. Janaya did a great job explaining each step and gave me opportunities to try new techniques on my own. Kelly did a fabulous job finishing off my hair. I haven’t stepped foot in a hair salon in almost 2 years, and my appointment today was definitely worth the wait! So happy with my results!! ☺️

I don't believe I have ever left an actual review on Google, but the service I received was so wonderful it is deserved.
I completed my first curly experience with Kelly, a few weeks. This was not my first curly cut, but it is my best!! I came in with a frizzy mess and my curls are finally back. After years of dreading haircuts I can honestly say I am so excited with the results. She really knows how to cut curly hair!! Not only that but I definitely needed to use more moisture and product, and stop over manipulating my curls. That knowledge alone was invaluable.
This is my type of salon, it is a stress-free, friendly atmosphere. I would liken it to visiting your friend. The puppies are wonderful, and hypoallergenic. I left with no allergy issues, and even though my appointment was with Kelly, Janaya was so nice, and explained everything before I sat in the chair. I was also on a waiting list for an earlier appointment, and as soon as something opened up I was contacted.
I HIGHLY recommend Kindred Curl, and will be back. This was just the beginning, and I am looking forward to more healthy hair appointments. It is worth it!!!

I had the new curly hair success experience a week ago. I didn't know what to expect. Kelly took the time to explain everything she was doing. She let me feel the curls through her process so that I knew what to feel for when I got home to continue my curly hair journey. She also tried different products to make sure we were using the right one for me! I look forward to going back! If you have curly hair, Kindred Curl is a must!
