For those interested in trying out the gym without a membership fee, the Kahtishraam wellness center at the Karuk tribe offers free access. It is open to all Monday through Friday. It is clean and well kept.

This place is a great place for the community. I am out of town working and needed a place to work out after work. Ymca turned me down and was completely rude , ( old bish ) behind the front desk , but when I came here to kahtishraam I was treated great , they were inviting and got me set up to use their gym quickly and easily. Vivian is very sweet and caring, and the other ladies there are sweet as well . I really appreciate the way they both were . Thanks a ton . I would recommend this place and all it has to offer the community.

Great place to go to and get a good run of basketball in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 5:30pm-7:50pm. Also has the addition of the computer center which can be used by both kids and adults and the weight-room which should be opening soon with their recent expansion. The plus side is that it is free and that visitor do not have to pay a guest fee. I would strongly recommend this gym to anyone.

I help people make necklaces for a few days. It is very nice to see the kids have somewhere to go. I also liked seeing some of my tribal elders. They fed them all lunch, had healthy snacks, lots of activities for everyone.

Absolutely horrible place. Not family friendly at all. Told me to make my two year old sit in one spot the entire tournament otherwise my husband wouldn't be allowed to play. My two year old was marching up and down the foot part of the bleachers. The gym was not even 1/4 full, had barley anyone and they expect a 2 year old to sit in one spot. Already no food or drink allowed in gym (except for the people who work for the center, they were shoving their faces in the bleachers while announcing to others that food and drink wasn't allowed). Once my husband found out and went to ask what the problem was, their story kept changing as they were proven wrong with each excuse they could think of. Just horrible. The bathrooms were disgusting and obviously weren't touched all weekend. I am assuming the women running the tournament felt that it wasn't their job and were too entitled to ever think of cleaning up. They kept telling the players to watch their language because elders and children were present. This is understandable and can be expected but when the players start saying obvious racist comments to my husband they did absolutely nothing at all. When they were confronted they said that we were lying and it never happened and they aren't racist because they have black people within their family. I just can't believe this all happened, it still blows my mind. Very rude, privileged facility. Horrible experience. I do not recommend supporting this place on any level. Horrible, horrible, entitled women running this so called "wellness facility".

I attended the doll making class here and will continue for several weeks. In the front room there was a kitchen and we were surprised with a spaghetti dinner before the class started. Well maintained and a beautiful place to be in.

Never been in there nice place 4 plan basketball. Got my first shot. The tribe has that's pretty good for me.
