I had a wonderful prenatal massage at Jade Spa with Annie as my therapist. She was fantastic, and the room was quiet and relaxing.

At 33 weeks pregnant, I’ve tried many places for prenatal massages, but this one was the best. Unlike most places where you have to lie on your side, Jade Spa provides a cushion with a circular tummy hole, allowing for a more comfortable, traditional massage position.

The quality of the massage was excellent and reasonably priced—$70 for 60 minutes, plus a $15 tip.

I’ll definitely be returning!

I did the 90 minute massage and once finished, I paid for the service and gave her a cash tip, which again a tip isn't mandatory. She gave it back to me and kept saying 20 percent. I said no here's the cash and I thought maybe they only take card tip and so I said okay I'll put it on my card and she kept asking me how much and I said 7 dollars the same as the cash tip I was giving her. She said no 20 percent. And she wouldn't let me put the number down until finally I grabbed the machine to do it. I gave her 10 dollars but I shouldn't have given her anything. That behavior isn't okay. A tip isn't mandatory it's just something nice to give to someone after a service has been done. Forcing 20 percent tip on someone like that isn't okay. I don't recommend this place. The lady who did this was Angela. Again this is not okay and not a good place to go to. Oh and she said the 10 dollar tip wasn’t enough still and kept pushing and pushing.

Today I booked a massage at Jade Day Spa on a whim. I was visiting my parents and decided to go for a massage. Taking a look at the availability there were some masseuses that were booked out for days but I was looking for someone that day and I found an absolute gem. Gao was the one who had availability so I chose him and it ended up being the best decision ever. It was hands down one the best massage I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’ve gotten lots of professional massages.

I signed up for a 90 minute whole body deep tissue. When Gao was getting ready to begin he asked if I wanted medium hard or hard hard. I of course chose hard hard because that tends to give me a more healing massage and while it may at times be uncomfortable it seems to give my body what it needs. Gao did not disappoint. I truly believe he is a master at his work. He effortlessly provided the exact pressure I was looking for, hard hard. He literally made me cry twice, not from pain but from releasing tension in my muscles built up by stored up emotion and stress. When he was working my neck I almost wanted to say less pressure but I stuck with it and was overcome with the release it gave me. He later was doing my quads and that also got me to cry tears of joy. I was smiling with tears running down my face as I breathed through the release. It was the most relaxing and at the same time intense experience I’ve ever had while getting a massage.

If you get a chance to select Gao you won’t be disappointed. He was professional, courteous and knew exactly what hew as doing. It felt as if he was working with my breath and I swear he was doing energy work with his hands. I can’t suggest Gao enough. He truly is the best and I can’t thank him enough for the work he did on me. Do yourself and if you can take it… get a hard hard deep tissue massage from Gao. Your body will thank you.
