The drive thru line took over 45 minutes long. The lady in the drive thru (Cathy) was clearly very annoyed to be doing her job. I spoke to a very sweet lady, True, in the compounding pharmacy that said it was totally fine if I went through the Hawthorne drug drive-through to pick up my compounded medication since I have four small children with me. Cathy, said “we don’t do that “and rolled her eyes and shut the door. She said I was “holding up her business”. Overall, I had a terrible experience here due to her terrible attitude. Would not recommend at all.

This pharmacy is the best. The staff is friendly and so knowledgeable. They WANT to help you and if you have a question, big or small, they make you feel so comfortable about asking it. It’s old school and such a breath of fresh air compared to the big box pharmacies. Plus there is a sweet little Deli attached to it that has delicious breakfast and lunch options. Transfer your prescription and go here. It’s wonderful.

This is by far the very BEST local family-owned pharmacy in the area! The moment you walk in one of the super sweet employees will happily greet you and be ready to help in any way. They compound drugs, will order whatever you need and even prepare prefilled blister packs (all meds to be taken at once are all in convenient little blister pockets). Thank you, Hawthorne Drugs, for providing the kind of care that’s rare these days. 💝

Excellent customer service. Really go out of their way. Total Mom n Pop. However, beware they will only give flu shots Monday through Friday from 10 to 5 so you’ll have to take off work or go to the corporate place.

Got my 1st Covid vaccine there after getting the run-around from the Athens Health Department. Very lovely people. They have a new customer in me. Dropping those impersonal corporate chains. Shop local!
