Hartzell's is the worst pharmacy. They take forever to fill a prescription, even if you just had surgery and need them. If they finally get around to filling it, they don't call you and tell you. And when you call them to try to get help, they give you an attitude. My family and I will be going elsewhere.

There is a reason why Hartzell's is one, if not the most, trusted pharmacy name in the Lehigh Valley. They continue to provide excellent customer service and they also know and care about their clients and their community. This is a stark contrast to the big box pharmacies.

Lady that works in home medical supplies department is extremely rude. I called with a very simple question, and she bit my head off. This is my first and only experience with Hartzell’s, and I’m very disappointed. I thought for a neighborhood pharmacy, they’d treat people better.

This pharmacy is the best of both worlds: small enough to receive personalized, caring service like an old school neighborhood pharmacy, but large enough to deliver all the conveniences that modern technology provides. They also have medical supplies & equipment, a compounding pharmacy and delivery throughout the Lehigh Valley. The best part is their friendly knowledgeable staff. If you're tired of just being another number at a national pharmacy chain, give Hartzell's a try; you won't regret it trust me!

My wife recently visited this establishment and spoke to a gentleman who loudly pronounced he was the owner of “this establishment”, and made assumptions to my African American wife that she was on Medicare or Medicaid. Then he told my wife that all he works with is Highmark, and never worked with her insurance before. Mind you our insurance is Capital Blue Cross? Didn’t raise his voice to anyone else, also mind you that the other patrons waiting were not a minority? My wife didn’t match his tone or vocal level, and politely dismissed herself from the situation.

I can’t tell if the owner of this establishment was having a bad day. Maybe there was something else happening in his life that he presented himself this way. But I won’t waste the time making assumptions, though facts about the situation paint a very clear picture: To anyone reading this, if you are a minority, please tread with caution.

My wife and I will gladly go back to CVS. At least they treat people equally, with decency, and professionalism.

Very disappointed in our local pharmacy. We have purchased may things from Hartzell's including a power lift recliner for my father. This time we needed a toilet seat with handles with a larger seat than the one we have. I sent my brother to get one as we live very close by. The one he came home with was even smaller than the one we have. We opened it looked at it and realized how small it was. Within the hour he went back to return it and was told no returns! At no time did the sales person ever mention this. He was told it was on his receipt. Who reads the receipt before the sale is final? You try and support local business's especially now. Sorry Hartzell's but you have lost a local long time customer. I was able to get a beautiful chair from Amazon and it will be here in two days. And you wonder why Amazon is putting out local businesses'. Poor customer service!
