We saw Dianne remotely with our 6 year old son during his very rough year of remote school. He had already struggled with anxiety which got much worse during the pandemic. Dianne was warm, supportive, and fun with our child. She was (thank goodness) totally nonjudgmental of us, even though I know we made plenty of missteps while trying to navigate parenting our intense little guy under crazy circumstances. Dianne had so many strategies and ideas for us to implement at home. We saw a lot of progress and still refer back to the things we learned through our sessions with her!

I will say this, Dianne is a compassionate therapist who helped me out tremendously after moving to the west coast from NY. I was struggling to find a therapist in the area and all that changed after talking to Dianne. Her approach to helping people is wonderful.

I doubt anyone reads these but if so I'll just briefly describe my experience with this provider in case you are considering seeing her.
Things started off well with her and I was consistently going and it felt like I was making some improvement. So if my experience ended on better terms, my overall impression would have been better.
The reason for the lower score is because after having consistently going for eight months and sharing so much of myself, I was told 'you're wasting my time.'. Although it was said in context to the treatment she offers, it's still not the most therapeutic thing to hear especially if you're trying to get someone to open up. She said this following what I would've considered a minor disagreement. You would think a therapist could navigate disagreements with conflict resolution skills but perhaps not all therapists are inclined to overcome disagreements. Or at least take a collobrative approach to treatment. But that wasn't her approach. It felt more like an all or nothing approach. I don't know if that's what's taught in school. And lastly, I tried reaching out one last time in hopes of scheduling, even after her saying you're wasting my time, since there isn't a lot of availability out there at the moment. But I never got a response, which considering what she calls her practice is pretty disgraceful.
If someone is reading this, I would just advise you to ask questions or set-up a consultation or even read over her profile as you can get a better idea of how she promotes her practice before you commit to anything long term since she can just as easily tell you 'you're wasting my time...' which is anything but graceful!
