A great spot with fantastic findings! The feeling was that of an upgraded Whole Foods, with all organics, wild salmon & gluten free findings in their prepared meals, fresh, local, organic produce, flowers, as well plenty of boxed & cold goods.

While the store is an hour away, I'll be turning this into a weekly visit!

A really good grocery store and deli.
Friendly staff. Great Bulk Items. Vitamin's, and natural supplements too. I haven't really checked out the butcher yet but intended too.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that parking can be testy.

The woman in the health and beauty department was super rude when I called to ask about something they may or may not have in stock. I was looking for an oil-and-vitamin blend I read about, to treat a condition I have. I began to describe it to her to see if they have something similar. This is a common question for stores that sell supplement and herbal blends; people will call asking about adaptogen, sleep, iron or B-complex blends, and many other things that have slightly different mixes from different brands. The customer may be looking for two or three key ingredients and want to know what the different options are. She seemed unable to understand or tolerate this common inquiry.

I heard from her tone and what little she was able to say directly that it was busy in the store and she felt she did not have time for my question—but she did it in a shockingly rude and passive aggressive manner, especially for a store I’ve long used and trusted. She cut me off mid-sentence, asked if I could just come by so she didn’t have to speak to me, and because she wasn’t direct about her circumstances or her needs, forced me to inquire, “Are you too busy right now? Is that what’s going on?” At which point she snappishly replied, “It’s the holidays.” I will be taking my business elsewhere.

P.S. May I suggest, as a coaching tip—when you are too busy to take phone calls, but don’t want you leave customers on hold (which you should not do), you can pick up the line and be direct about your circumstances and what you’re able to do, instead of treating customers like they’re inconveniencing you by offering to pay money for goods and services. This can look something like, “Hi there, this is ____ in Good Earth Health & Beauty. I’m letting callers know that the store is especially busy right now and I can only answer short questions. But if you need more time, I’d be happy to take your number and call you back.” Or, “I’m sorry about this, we’re so busy right now, I’m not able to get to the calls and help the in-store customers. I want to make sure you get your question answered and if we have it, the product you need. Can I take your number and call you back?” And/or, “In the meantime, here’s a way you can look online/access another resource to try to find the answer to your question, and I’ll follow up with you as well.”

Basic customer service. And, your store is an upscale community fixture, which means it relies particularly on good customer relations. Please address this issue so that your other “holiday” customers don’t get burned.

This place should be a tourist destination! Hands down one of my favorite stores I've EVER been in! Best wholesome selection anywhere I've found in California! We were traveling towards Muir beach/ woods and found this treasure. Biggest selection of bulk goods, amazing veggie/ fruit set up, incredible food deli items very gourmet but natural. One beware... you won't find your typical junk food fair; you'll have to opt for healthier choices. They also had cute displays, attractive eating surroundings, and other types of interesting items. A definite place to stop and shop if you're not fortunate enough to live nearby! A bit on the pricey side but seemed more worth it than other high quality stores. You know they've got something when you go and feel like taking pictures of a grocery store! I HOPE I'll visit here again!

Great store with fantastic assortment of selections. Think Whole Foods but 10x better!

Everything was so neat, tidy and clean. Prices were fair so this style of market. Don’t expect to find your typical Safeway brands here.

Wonderful grocery store that feels like the defacto organic grocery store out of some movie! Wonderful salad bar where you pay by the pound. Fresh produce where we found delicious fruit and some fun options like golden raspberries. Great place to pick up lunch to go if you're visiting and on the way to the beach or the discovery center.
