I have always liked shopping at Giant, but at this location (like some others) I HATE the self checkouts. With every item, the machine has to make a comment about the bagging area or otherwise. And, heaven forbid you adjust something already I n one of the bags you’re filling, the computer loses its mind, stops allowing scanning, and tells you “ help is on the way”. Then you wait for several minutes for someone to realize that nothing is wrong but they still need to clear the “error”. If there were better self checkout options, I would have given 5 stars.

I hate to make this review about one employee, but I have had multiple incidents with this person. All the other employees here are very kind and helpful, but this one person who normally is at self check out deliberately seeks me out to ask for me to donate money to whatever cause it’s for that week. There will be other people in the self check out and she won’t approach them, but will almost always approach me. A few weeks ago I had already made a purchase when she came up to ask me aboutdonatingMakes me want to go to other locations.

This store knowingly sells expired food. There were several expired Panera Mac and Cheese prepackaged food that expired 5/18/24. I told the staff behind the deli on 6/1/24 and they agreed it was expired and took one but not all. I went back on June 11th and the expired food was still there and now it's almost a month expired. I informed the manager who just shrugged and acted like I was bothering him and I had to tell him that it is not okay to be selling expired food ( milk based food) that can get someone sick and that they need to do a better job checking dates when stocking. Absolutely ridiculous.

This place just gets worse and worse every time I go. The two things that really disappoint me the most is that the quality of the produce has taken a deep dive and the self checkout is truly an awful experience now because of the freaking weight sensors. Only reason it gets 2 stars is because it's the closest grocery store to me. I hope they improve things soon because wegmans is too expensive to go to every time.

This Giant needs a facelift. It’s old and the pharmacy is lacking organization and technology. It looks and feels like the Giant I remember as a kid.

Giant was an affordable supermarket now it's not anymore. There are some good offers but the rest of your list means 2-4 dol more than in another supermarket.
Some branches differ in the lightning and fanciness at the same price. It's clean, organized and in general the cashiers are very nice. Good luck!

I've been shopping at this store for well over 20 years and within the last 2 years, it has gone downhill. The last few times I have purchased fresh deli items, they are unedible with 3 days. I'm no longer willing to spend $13/pound for deli meat that doesn't hold up. In addition, the young folks you have working in the checkout obviously need some training. Or a different job altogether. Tonight, as I walked up to checkout, the employee was reading a magazine. As I put my groceries on the belt, he finally looked up and put the magazine down. No acknowledgement, not a word. I don't expect a conversation, but a simple hello would be appreciated and professional. He was throwing my stuff into my bags trying to finish up quickly so he could get back to his reading, I guess. No sooner had the transaction been completed, he sat himself back down with his magazine. In the next checkout lane the other checker was reading as well. Shouldn't they be doing something productive in the store when it isn't busy? This reflects poorly of the management. If this continues to happen, I don't see a future for this store. So sad, because I like the convenience of this store.
