Not sure if this was simply an isolated incident but my experience with this particular clinic (𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵) was not the best.. The team that I encountered at this clinic seemed dysfunctional or inharmonious. Each person that I spoke with seemed to operate within their own time line, and seem disconnected.. For example: the receptionist seemed too distracted with her own personal stuff instead of helping my mom get checked in upon arrival. We waited patiently at the window in what seemed like 5 minutes before she even acknowledged us. And I had to repeat my mother’s appointment time to her 3-4 times before she recognized what I was sharing with regards to appointment time. The Women’s Health Educator, Alicīa Fajardo seemed callous, rude, and lacked patience as I was trying to have a conversation with my mom in my attempt to translate to my mother in what Alicīa was asking of her.. This educator would ask a question, but would quickly cut me off mid-conversation with my mother.. Alicīa honestly did not seem to have any patience but instead seemed more assertive about her role there at the clinic rather than providing a space and/or exhibiting any kind of human compassion or sympathy for patients in the case of my mom. She had promptly and quickly dismissed me due to my length of time (𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳) in trying to translate the questions being asked.. And told me to go back to waiting room, got on the phone to get a Vietnamese translator instead.. I’m sure people who work in this environment have to deal with all sorts of people, but for a staff / team of people to have poor interpersonal skills, hospitality and customer service doesn’t make any sense in terms of providing healthcare..

This place really deserves NO STARS. If you not Hispanic you might as well book somewhere else. My appointment was at 9:30am. I’m not sure why the appointment even matters if they not going by that time, I understand waiting 30-40 minutes after your appointment time I get that, but a whole 3 hours is crazy! They have the patient care techs calling people names from 5 different doors and when i told them i believe my name was called they said it wasn’t and if it was they’ll call again in the next 5 minutes. I waited and nothing else happened so I stepped to the desk again. At this point it’s 10:40am I asked the same front desk lady who been there since I walked in what’s going on and she acted as if she didn’t know my name so I told her again for the 3rd time and she like well “did someone call you for vitals yet ? “ I already mentioned I was never called and if I was they immediately called my name and ran off through a door. So then she said well we have to go over financials and I’m telling her I have insurance and money all of that is on MyChart if yall cared about it. So then they proceeds to stall me out until I got fed up and left. I watched caucasians and Hispanics walk in full out paperwork and get vitals and labs done way before me and I had an appointment. I know how healthcare works, I work in a healthcare facility like let’s be real here.

For your first appointment be prepared to wait. There are several steps and people you need to see but it moves quickly and everyone was nice. If you need an appointment book asap since they fill quickly. I saw Nurse Practitioner Keionda for my first prenatal appointment and she was so sweet and kind.

I would come here for my prenatal checkups for my first pregnancy. They always made me feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. I could ask them any questions, while also receiving the best care. After I had my baby the hospital transferred me to southeast women’s health center, and the staff there were rude and disrespectful. I never felt comfortable, so I’m transferring back to garland and willing to drive the extra 10 minutes

I really love this clinic ! They are nice woman up there. Good customer service Everytime I come for my appointment. I have an amazing OBGYN for my baby girl and I ! I was scared because of something that lead me in the hospital and she reassured me that everything was okay and that she would keep checking that program I really appreciate them !

UPDATE: The Obgyn that I thought so highly of made a not so great call on a change in my treatment plan which aggravated my suffering even more. I ended up at the ER and have been given the run around on appointments and treatment ever since. I have opted to go a Holistic way as I wait to see how things go in JUNE 2023.
