Always a magical experience! It all starts with the atmosphere and overall feel of relaxation. The coffee and snacks are plentiful, customer service is friendly and the best part for me is the Hot Tubs! Highly recommend any day of the week and my best suggestion is to plan ahead because this place books up fast. Call shortly after opening to get on the schedule and soon your time of bliss will come. 6 stars if I could and will return again.

One of the best hidden little gems in Humboldt county. Great place to go relax, spend your anniversary or a date night. I love the privacy you have in your own outdoor fenced off little section of heaven. The business keeps the property nice and clean and doesn't over use chlorine and other irritating cleaning chemicals in the hot tubs. Make sure you have cash when you go though, they don't take cards. And I would suggest calling a day in advance( they only do reservations a day ahead in advance) they usually fill up pretty quickly.

We walked up without a reservation and were thankfully able to snag a remaining half hour slot from someone who didn't show up, I would recommend making an appointment though because they appeared to be completely booked and we just happened to get lucky. They explain how the hot tub is connected to a changing room and how much time you get in each place before sending you off. We really enjoyed how quiet and private the area was and found that a half hour was plenty of time considering how hot the water was.

Stepping into Finnish Country Sauna & Tubs is like stepping into another era. The charming wood lobby welcomes you, and the delicious café offers a perfect selection of treats. I loved the organized newspapers, inviting lazy reading while you unwind.

Venturing to the back reveals the beautifully overgrown grounds, complete with private Finnish tubs that provide the ultimate escape. The tubs are perfectly heated, impeccably clean, and incredibly relaxing—ideal for soaking after a long run, hike, or flight. The atmosphere is both romantic and private, making it a healing retreat.

This place is a hidden gem; I can’t recommend it enough!

A little pocket of Scandinavian Zen in downtown Arcata. Like stepping into a different world. Clean, well run, and rustically beautiful. Laid back vibe, not pretentious or hauty. HOT saunas, had to take a couple cool down breaks during our 30min session. That was easy though due to the private dressing room and shower attached to each sauna space.
The hot tubs are perfectly executed, traditional wood with a bench all the way around. They are sloped or cone shaped; wider at the top, so you can recline, much more comfortable than a barrel type, straight sided soaking tub. And they're jetted if you like. Again, here you have a comfortable, private dressing room and outdoor shower. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
