The only good thing about this place is the pharmacy. In medical they don't listen to your concerns and brush it off as "you're just like that". In dental they dont know how to do their jobs at all. Not only does the dental department have a hard time keeping dentists, they will only work on the same 2-4 teeth because the ones they DO hire mess up. I have been going to tribal health for their dental department for over a year now and they have worked on the same 4 teeth, each has been drilled at least twice. They messed up so bad 2 of the 4 teeth need pulled, and the other 2 are so sensitive and unuseable I cannot eat on the right side of my mouth and my front teeth. A doctor with a 0% success rate needs to be fired and go back to school. This is not okay. Only trust them with a cleaning. I work with Dr. Vacura which is their lead dentist, and if the lead is this bad I would hate to see the others.

Two starts for the beautiful building and the friendly receptionist at the front who is always very helpful. My treatment at this facility has been subpar!!! First getting medical insurance to be seen here was a uphill battle. I was told I would have someone help me with the paperwork but the lady on the phone told me I was on my own. I believe her name was Kathy. Second I have Asthma but when I spoke with the nurse on the phone to get help she was kind enough to fit me in that day to be seen. Luck had it when I arrived at Feather River Tribal health just to receive a phone call when I pulled into the driveway telling me they can't see me if I don't have insurance and go to the ER or Urgent care for my Asthma! Third I finally got insurance and took them proof and they entered everything into the system. I made a appointment with a Doctor so I could get a inhaler and was treated poorly again by the same Doctor. She told me I need a Lung Function Test at the Hospital first. She also had me sign paperwork to get files from my old Doctor's proving I have Asthma! I was not asking for pain killers I was asking for a Inhaler so my chest was not tight and I could breath and not have anxiety of my lungs spasm on me like they have in the past! Chemawa Indian Clinic in Salem and Pit River Indian Clinic in Burney get 5 plus stars for helping their Native American People. This facility is not Native Friendly at all! I did the Lung Function test at Oroville Hospital and he even said I need Medicine to help me breath and could see a big difference after I received it. So tell me why this facility is against helping people who really need help and only will see you if you have Insurance even when you are a Registered California Native American with the BIA?

First, let me say this. I came to this clinic because of all the great reviews. I thought this place was owned and ran by native Americans. Native Americans have a great history with the black race. I thought this would be a great spiritual journey coming to this clinic. Here is the truth about this place....

This place is beautiful to look at. When you first walked in you are greeted by the warm and friendly face of a young woman who work at the front desk but don't be fooled...

My problem occurred with registration. I sat in the lobby filling out the registration packet. The lady in the registration only came out when I rang the bell. I think she was in the back sleeping! When she came out she appeared to be nice, but the longer I stayed to fill out that packet, the sight of me must have irritated her. She became rude and forced me to answer questions I did not feel comfortable answering or that did not apply with the reason I came to the clinic. For example, it did not make since to fill out questions about my dental history if I did not come for dental. It also does not make since to fill out information with all of my kids information if my kids was not applying to this clinic. This lady from registration said, "If you want to be seen here you have to answer all of the questions no matter what."

Sometimes it's not about what you say, but how you say it. I felt very uncomfortable.

Next, they tell you that it will take 3 or 4 weeks for them to discriminate on whether or not they want to see you.

When I asked to speak to the manager. I had the board of director come out and when she did I got the impression that she was racist before she said anything. I could feel her negative aura even though she tried to act concern, I did not have her full attention. She was trying to help a patient and talk to me at the same time. It was like I was not a concern to her at all.

Overall, I can honestly say....This is not a Native American clinic. They only perpetuate to be Native American to collect Government Funds!!!!!! They are a fraud!!!

The sheer ineptitude of this place. I've been desperately waiting for 6 months for referrals to a GI provider for my Crohn's disease. I've seen 3 separate providers here for a referral to a specialist.

I have been repeatedly deceived and made to believe this lack of follow through on my care is my fault.
Turns out, this operation never actually went to my insurance for authorization for any of my referrals.
Of course they never went through.
Of course I never got help or any calls returned.
Of course not,
they never did their job to get me the help they promised and now that I am going into my appointments so gaslit and frustrated I am in tears by midway through, OF COURSE its all my fault.

The last MD I saw was a real treat.
I was told again and again the clinic wasn't for white people. The dental, the psych, etc, all in house services are for natives. He told me over and over again that the facility and care within was not for me. But that he COULD refer me out. I assured him that was fine and I just needed help. But help is not to be found here.
Accept those referrals are never going to happen.

Their effort was so outrageous, the referral tech at the new GI place told me to find a new PCM entirely.
Best advice I've heard all day.
I sincerely hope that the people who are served by this clinic actually do get good care. They certainly deserve it after the abhorrent history between their peoples and the colonizers that came here.

I was assured I could be seen as a patient here, but I don't see the point.

I love my tribal clinic. They take great care of me and Dr. Skau is the best doctor I have ever had. I am so thankful and have great peace of mind. The facility is beautiful and very clean, well organized, and friendly. I never wish to go any where else.

I've been coming here since i was a child and i now bring my children here. It's Family friendly and capable of meeting all my family's medical dental pharmacy or behavioral health needs. Anytime I've had a problem i simply report it to the hr department and its taken care of. Will definitely continue to come here as long as im in this area.
