This was the first time I had an appointment with this Dr. We did have a long wait (which is not usual), however, the staff were especially kind, polite, and efficient. Geri at the front desk greeted me right away, was very polite/friendly, and efficient. M.A.’s Makenna and Yolanda were excellent, executing their functions in a very friendly, accurate, and efficient manner. Our time with the Dr was very informative. My experience at this clinic over the past 2-3 years has been, without question, par excellence! The wait is short, the clinic staff, friendly but courteous and professional. Even their billing staff are a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Shakally is definitely one of the best doctors I’ve had. He doesn’t just breeze in and out of the consultation room like most doctors. He asks pertinent questions to ensure he has covered your concerns; he also patiently responds and explains any issues you bring up! If you’re looking for an endocrinologist, Dr. Shakally and Empire Endocrinology would be, hands down, your best option!!!

Received an invoice for a 45-90 min visit. I waited in the room for over 30 mins. Spoke to the doctor for 3 mins. Got my vitals in 3 mins. Filled new patient paper work for 5 mins. Weird.

Giving 5 stars for my in person experience but would give maybe 2 for the phone experience. Whomever they have answering and taking calls needs training. It was really difficult to understand and make an appointment-I almost went elsewhere because i was so frustrated with that experience. The front office staff and dr were great when I went into my appt though and I’m leaving a positive review because I saw these negative ones and wanted to let people know it was still a positive experience for me.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this endocrinologist's office. I called to make an appointment and spent 17 minutes on the phone, but still couldn't even get a date set. When I mentioned that I had Aetna insurance, the woman on the phone asked me to spell "Aetna," which was odd. Throughout the call, she kept putting me on hold without warning, saying "hold on," and then disappearing for long periods. I could hear someone in the background telling her what to say, which made the entire situation feel unprofessional and disorganized. After wasting 17 minutes, I decided this was not the kind of office I wanted to deal with, and I won’t be going here.

Dr. Shakally has been a good enough Physician but when talking to his staff regarding an appointment today, they cancelled it stating that because I was affiliated with PrimeCare of Chino Valley that my insurance wouldn't pay. When I indicated that I was on a PPO and they are a PPO provider with my insurance carrier, the gal wouldn't check it out. She was simply insistent on cancelling the appointment. You've lost me permanently as a patient. The Dr. needs to hire staff that is willing to listen and realize that I might know more than them as I have been in the Medical Insurance business for over 45 years!

Best endocrinologist, when I started to see them I called told them I had a ppo and would bring my insurance with me to the appointment. They were the only endocrinologist willing to see me without a referral because I have a PPO.
