The store was beautiful and at first glance the products seemed to be good quality. Customer service was lacking. None of the staff acknowledged us when we walked in or any other customers that came in after. No one approached us the whole time we were in there to ask if we had questions or needed help. Including when we were at the tea bar looking through the menu. I know I can speak up and ask if I need something and that’s the culture of some places. I don’t need someone to cater to me but I appreciate welcoming customer service especially in a store that sells herbal remedies and tinctures that most people don’t understand. The person who checked us out was polite. I also asked if they were open Sunday and was told they would be at 11 and hours are posted on the door. However, come Sunday their doors were locked despite the open sign. We kept circling back until 1 pm as I was really wanting to get something before leaving town but no one showed up.

i love this wonderful little wellness shop! it’s so cozy and smells amazing! huge selection of herbs, a drink bar where you can find tea and tonics, and tons of amazing community events each month. the staff is so kind, welcoming, friendly, and has a vast knowledge about plant medicines.

What a special place! So beautiful and calm. Can stay for a short visit or long visit! Teas in the back and sometimes classes/seminars are available as well as tarot card readings!

Loved the store and their offerings, customer service sucks for people of color. My daughter and I decided to stop in. Asked about products to help insomnia. Sales person asked if I wanted tea or tincture, I was given the product with no explanation of what it consisted of or how to use. Thank goodness for Google.

Yes the ingredients were listed on the label, however I was referring to having a conversation with the sales person prior to purchasing. Maybe it's me and my expectation of customer service when I patronize a small business, perhaps me being a woman of color had nothing to do with it.

Elder is one of a kind. The owners are warm, wise, kind-hearted, and helpful. I’ve also tried every single tonic & they are all DELICIOUS. Most of all, this space has a homey, warm feel and it feels nourishing to be in there. Yes, it’s an apothecary *and* it’s also an experience of love, healing, care, and community. That is felt as soon as you walk through the doors.

My partner and I were so excited to go into this store today. We walked in and got a big smile from a woman doing readings. But the two other people there, we couldn't tell which one worked there, if they both did? Didn't even bother to look up at as. It's a beautiful store, but the vibes were bad. Even if I did have a question I couldn't tell which one worked there to ask. It truly felt like we weren't welcomed and that we were somewhere we shouldn't have been.
