Dr. Sassaris was truly wonderful.. He takes the time treat YOU and not just rushes you in and out. He explains and listens and cares. Best of all, he has so much experience. I truly am glad that I am in his very safe hands....So glad that there are doctors like him that make you feel important.

Been waiting on hold for a half an hour. At first one person picked up and asked for my address, put me on hold, then finally took me off hold and hung up on me. So I called back, waited an additional 15 mins for a real person to pick up and nothing happened. You’re probably better off walking in to make an appt bc that was ridiculous

Greeted nicely at front desk.
Nurse, Brittany, nice. Long wait after that!!!.
When Dr Sassaris finally came in, i could see why he was late. Hes exceptionality friendly and definitely lets you share ALL your grievances. He likes to chat, joke and explain things thoroughly. You cant help but love this man!

I worked in the medical field for over 20 years. I had another gastroenterolist in the Sarasota area (and left that practice because I could not get an appointment and the practice manager had taken lessons in customer no service)..
I saw Dr. Sassaris for the first time about 4 weeks ago. Having had prior experience with doctors and specifically a gastroenterolist I can tell anyone interested in reading reviews that you will hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable, caring, physician than Dr. Sassaris. He spent a great deal of time questioning me about my health, educated me on my diagnosis and explaining why I needed to do what he was recommending.
Another reviewer mentioned his office staff - unfortunately my experience with other doctors' offices staff has not always been pleasant. I am paying to see the physician and chose to ignore office members - they are a "means to the end." I, personally, found Dr. Sassaris staff delightful - they were helpful (didn't gossip to me) and told me to call them if I had any issues - what more could you ask for.? Anyone in the area who is seeking a GREAT gastroenterologist I can assure you Dr. Sassaris is a "5 star."
