Dr Keegan has been a magnificent doctor who took me in in the middle of 2020 at the peak of COVID as a new patient. I had a severe car accident with permanent brain injuries I was dealing with. I had called several doctors but no one was taking new patients. I finally called Dr Keegans office because I remembered doing work with his Charity and Designing Daughters. I was at the point of begging for help and crying on the call. They graciously took me on as a new patient and have been working with me since. Dr Keegan is a doctor who believes in different ways to tackle brain injuries and issues. Instead of just automatically going to hard medications. I appreciate that. I absolutely recommend him if you are needing a neurologist.

I first saw Dr. Keegan in the hospital after having a seizure and liked him okay. On my office visit, my husband and I tried to tell him about another type of seizure I was having. He totally “blew it off”, making no effort to figure it out or treat it. Someone I work with researched my symptoms and we had a presumptive diagnosis. Because my seizures were coming more frequently, I immediately called the office to be seen, as Dr. Keegan personally said call anytime there’s a problem and he would get me right in. His office called back hours after I went to work that day and, of course, I could not go in at that point as I work 50 miles away. We then tried to make another appointment, where there was miscommunication about my availability, and the office’s only concern then was that he was now about to go on vacation and he had no openings. No offer was ever made to see an associate. I literally had to write him a letter, threatening to report him to the medical board before he lowered himself to call me and talk to me. During our discussion, he said he’d never heard of the seizure I was describing and again expressed no interest in researching it or treating it. I found this odd as he works for a seizure research center, but was still more interested in going on vacation. At this point, our relationship “dissolved” and he refused to see me, although he gave me the name of another neurologist, but at this point I don’t have faith in anyone he might refer me to. My advice - stay away from this practice. I understand being unfamiliar with a disease, but a patient pretty well knows their body and when something is not right. Find a doctor who is willing to take you seriously and is not more interested in going on vacation.

My interaction with this office has been stellar. This is the most advanced neurological groups in the area. If you look at Ms. Betty’s other reviews they are mostly one star and reflect her more than the object (s) of her attacks.

I'm so saddened by a dr that during the first couple visits I felt knew what he was doing. The MRI or CT scan showed 5 lesions in my brain which explained my symptoms: Multiple Sclerosis. This was his diagnosis. Since I could no longer work, based on his diagnosis I was approved disability. The last time I went to see him as my symptoms seemed to be worsening, I almost felt like I was being scolded, like I was a hypochondrac (sp?) . He snapped at me that I didn't have MS, what was I doing there? I asked about the scans? He held them up and pointed to each one and counted " 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 " and just stared at me. I asked right the MS lesions... He laughed and said I don't know what they are. I think you might have fibromyalgia. Go see a reumatologist. So seriously I think Dr Keegan has some issues. That's why people don't like going to doctors.
