3 months to book an appointment, emergency appointments are a joke. You will die before being seen here. No wonder why our emergency rooms are so full in this town when the clinics can not see more than 5 people a day.

I feel like a lot of the reviews here are confusing this place for the hospital. This clinic has excellent back office personnel. The doctors and medical/nursing assistants are really good. Everyone does their best to figure out what is going on to get you feeling better and back to normal heath.

The doctor seems to be
unavailable and has moved. I'm not seeing a replacement, but I need a doctor to approve my test strips and insulin needles.

It is definitely Barragan that has earned a one star from me. They actually have the wrong address programmed in on Google and the secretary had me on hold for 5minutes which caused me to break the 7minute rule even though their real address is a few minutes away from the posted address.

The secretary literally doesn't care that their address is wrong on here and they flaked on my appointment. The low ratings are richly deserved. Completely indifferent and inflexible and I could tell they have zero inclination to fix their issues.

Took my dad to the ER because he was short of breath. I told them his cardiologist had found something wrong with his heart but they were still doing more studies on him...
They put him on oxygen, got blood and took x-rays and other exams they do. He was there for 3-4 hours and they let him go home. Said to follow up with his Dr.
This happened during the month of Nov so holidays are around and his dr was on vacation.
A week later I take him again he was having chest pain and wasn't able to walk with out running out of breath. This time they kept him overnight. They were draining water out because his body was retaining water.. on the 3rd day the Dr said they couldn't really do nothing because they don't have a cardiologist at the hospital.
I asked if they can transfer him to a hospital were he can be seen by a cardiologist. They said he wasn't a transferable patient.
So I needed to transfer him MYSELF! They ordered oxygen for him because he couldn't be without it. I had to wait at home for hours so they can drop off the oxygen at home and me take the oxygen to the hospital.
As soon as I received the oxygen I picked him up and took him straight to salinas memorial hospital.
As soon as I got to the ER in salinas they moved my dad quick. They did all the proper things and thank God he is doing great now. He is breathing on his own no longer need oxygen.
The nurses and Dr there listen to you and are very friendly and helpful. They made me feel safe leaving my dad there with them. THANK YOU GUYS!

I understand hazel hawkins don't have specialist BUT #1 staff was not helpful in the situation of transferring my dad.
Do you know how nerve-wracking it is driving your loved one and seeing they can't breathe well even on oxygen?
I've lived here in Hollister my whole life.
Hollister is growing population and with them not having proper specialist in the facility is not good.

Not clear on why all the bad reviews. I've had nothing but great experiences here. Really love my doctor and all the staff have been lovely.
