Stayed in a self-contained short bus/ motorhome and was able to enjoy the hot springs in the morning with a pool-side shower before hitting the road.
The space was clean, the tubs smell like sulfur, but that’s how you know they’re real, right? ?
The camping spot was spacious enough for our stay and the port-o-potties available nearby for nighttime use were very clean.
Overall it was a relaxing trip and a real affordable spot to park near Pismo Beach at around $65/night.

I went on a Friday and it was solo time. I was sharing the space with 10 people. So nice. $28 day pass is worth the money. I will return when I'm in the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Avila hot springs and spa. I started off by going to the changing room and getting in my bathing suit then taking a shower . Then going in the hot tub for awhile then the huge cold pool that's just normal pool temperature. There was not very many people in it . Then back to the hot tub. Then I received a massage from Nina. It was such a relaxing massage. The pools are included all day if you get a massage so I went back to the hot springs to relax some more. I would definitely recommend being water and snacks because there is only a vending machine for food options. But it was an incredible way to spend the day! . So relaxing

One row of campsites was a bit too close to the freeway for our liking. Lots of noise. Try booking in the area across from the parking lot. Nice to have a fire pit, bathrooms and showers. Site was dusty. Pool was relaxing.

Decent place. Our group had the upper tent sites, so it was private and secluded. The pool was clean but the hot springs had lots of debris floating around. It’s definitely not cleaned until the end of the day. We had to ask the front desk multiple times that the Porta potty needed some attention due to the filling of reservoir, understanding it was a very busy weekend but still should had a extra emptying scheduled knowing the busy holiday weekend. Front desk is intelligently lacking. Day of check in we were told one thing, next day something else and check out was told the price of extra people at site was doubled, that the $15 was a discount and for pool daily use, but the proceed to say the price is really $30 per person.Pointed out the website price along with the pool sign both stating $15 per person for camping and/or pool day use. Honestly the place is a deal but the petty things of lying about pricing and the sanitary stuff just downgrades the place.
