We had the best time at Alisal. Very family friendly place and I felt great that the kids could just run around and that there was so much to do. Everyone was so kind and the staff was genuine and service was wonderful. I looked forward to breakfast and dinner everyday, the ingredients are fresh, the cooks are great, and my daughter loved the cookie and generous ice cream portions. Drinks were also AMAZING! On a side note, we enjoyed the weekday dining options as there were a few more special items on the menu than on the weekend. Last, the farm was great, pony was sweet, and next time I’ll time things better to get to the lake!

My wife and I spent two nights at the Alisal this past weekend. This was our 4th stay with them and the experience was first class. Everyone was very attentive to our smallest of needs. Of special note were our servers, Maria K., and Juan, as well as Veronica V. at Reception. All of them gave us very special attention and made us feel as if we were the only ones at the Ranch. Hats off as well to everyone at the stables. We took our Saturday morning horseback ride up to the original adobe house for breakfast. It's always a special treat and this year we were rewarded with close encounters of flocks of wild turkey and small herds of deer--quite magical. We will certainly be back next year and look forward to seeing everyone. Gordon and Heidi.

Pricey but I was there for a business meeting. The staff is fantastic all around from the restaurant and bar to the people running the excursions. Even the housekeeping and grounds crew made sure to say hi, good morning etc. We're a rowdy bunch and they did an amazing job all around.

Incredible experience!!! We came here for my husbands milestone birthday with our now grown up kids. We used to come here every Easter break when our kids were growing up. Alisal did not disappoint! The staff were on top of their game! They helped us pull off a few surprises for the birthday boy! Especially Meehan at the front desk who read our minds and tended to our every need! Johnny at the Ranch Golf Course helped us pull off an incredible epic birthday surprise! |The Staff, the wonderful rooms the incredible food were just amazing and will have coming back every year! |Thank You Alisal for some incredible memories!!

I had really high hopes for this place so we decided to spend our Christmas holiday there. The area is beautiful and the people who work there wonderful, but I wish I knew the below:||1. The rooms are dated. Old carpet, dusty drapes, dated bathrooms like a 3 star room at best with a 5 star price. My kids have terrible allergies to dust and the the rooms were super dusty (older carpet and drapes are dust magnets) and they had a rough stay as a result (even with claritin). House keeping was just ok. They did not replen our drinks and we had dirty cups around for days. I do like things clean, so that was hard for me.||2. Our kiddos are teens, so all the activities for their age group cost extra. It was our choice to do them, but I didn't realize how expensive they would be. For example, we did an ebike mountain tour and it was $195 per person and didn't even last 2 hours. The free things are perfect for smaller children (petting farm, crafts, kids club). We loved the rifles, but again that is $100 per person. Ouch. ||3. Dinners were great. Wonderful service and great food. This part was worth it for sure. ||I am all about "was this trip worth the money paid?" and the answer is definitely not.

Lucky to have had the chance to return to Alisal Ranch after our first visit a couple years ago and it was just as special as we remembered it! Prior to checking in we attended a pie making class in the oak room where FERNANDO walked us through his recipe for homemade applie pie. After getting settled in our room we headed up to the lake where CHRISTIAN and the boys showed us the ropes for Axe Throwing (great coaching skills!). ||Over the course of the weekend we saw GERARDO at multiple eateries across the property ensuring ourselves and other guests were fed and happy. Personal favorite was the cowboy burger - may or may not have had more than one.||Special shout out to MIKE who all weekend made us feel right at home both around the hotel and over at the golf course. His welcoming demeanor and attention to detail are what make a trip to Alisal an unforgettable experience!
