Such Amazing People. They are literal lifesavers. The fact that they can provide so much help for free is amazing to me. In my opinion, all the people complaining about wait times are taking this place for granted. To avoid long wait times, I recommend going at night. To all the staff (who were so friendly), I say thank you so much.

I had the worst experience at this clinic a few years ago. Everybody except the receptionist at the front was rude. The lady who did my intake and rapid HIV test was rude and unpleasant. The male phlebotomist taking my blood had no idea what he was doing and asked if I drank water while struggling to take my blood. When I told him I only drank tea and water, no soda at all he got a weird look on his face. He never apologized even though it was clearly his fault and made me feel like something was wrong with my blood because it was so thick when in reality he was the issue. I would never come here or send anyone here.

Omar & Lori were really kind and caring during my visit. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I was not able to get fit in with my primary and stopped by for some labs and they took very great care of me!

So grateful for this place! Even though I have insurance, it takes forever to schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor, then to schedule lab work, then to wait for the results. Sometimes I have to pay a copay as well. AHF takes care of everything on the spot, free of charge, and you get your results fairly quickly, HIV immediately and everything else usually a week max. Laurie is so warm and welcoming at the front desk and Jasmine the phlebotomist is also super sweet. The rest of the staff if also very kind, especially when this topic can be uncomfortable. There is a wait sometimes, Mondays are usually super busy and Wednesdays can be as well. Thurs through Sat tend to be more chill. Just a general guideline, but dont quote me on this. A visit can last 90 min or more on a busy day but just 15 min if not, so plan accordingly. Thank you AHF for serving the community. This place doesn’t deserve such low ratings. I so appreciate the service they offer- free STD testing with no red tape. I’ve always been able to park right inside the gate. Last time I pulled up like 5 minutes before closing (my intent to get there early in the day slipped my mind until the last moment) and I was so thankful they let me in! I begged them to let me quickly submit some pee and self swabs, and since I was already in their system, they very kindly obliged. 🙏 This is a fantastic location to get regularly tested and to enjoy peace of mind through continued good health. 👌

I’ve been AFH patient for years in different states. This location was the worst experience by far. Staff is rude and make you feel like they have too much happening to answer your questions. Me and my partner came in for treatment and watched the room empty and fill up twice. We waited for 1.5 hours and were never called, so we just left.

Free STI testing. Note that you need to park on the street and then walk over—there is no on-site parking for visitors. There are always spots on the street that dead-ends into the facility though. Then head down the driveway and follow the signs. It’s downstairs in what feels like the basement, but you’re in the right spot.

Staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. They play fun music in the waiting area. When you arrive, you scan a QR code to register on your phone. It’s a lot of forms, but they’re all digital. Create a Healthvana account before you get there to save some time. Once you finish the online check-in, staff verifies your ID and gives you a number. Then a counselor will call you first to talk about what kinds of tests/treatments you want. Then back to the waiting room until the phlebotomist is ready for you.

They can do blood tests, urine tests, swabs of your throat and butt (checking for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV) and a rapid HIV test. You can also get PrEP here and I think treatment for STIs too. Testing is 100% free. Results come electronically via the Healthvana app.

Only downside is that there is sometimes a wait. I waited an hour last time. And they go to lunch in the middle of the shift so if you arrive then, you’ll definitely have to wait. Don’t wait until ten minutes before they close to show up; once they reach capacity for the day, they don’t take any new folks.

Overall, an essential and extremely helpful resource that keeps our community safe!

Came to ahf today online it says open but everything was closed they didn’t have any signs saying it’s closed but gates were all closed and the number provided does not work at all
