I don't like the parking lot. Parking lot is small and crowded. People in that area are rude, to be honest. They have like 3 of one item - too little stock. The store is dirty. Most of the employees here are rude as well. The place where they put all the milk was dirty - it literally had like black grime. The toilet paper was stained with who knows what - some orange liquid. Overall, the store is dirty. I didn't like it at all.

Hello, I came into the store in Bonita Ca, and there wasn't any more Pepsi on the shelves, so I asked a man named Steven that was in produce, he left quickly and then came back with some Pepsi's for me. He was very nice and helpful, every store needs some more steven's. He was great, and I appreciated his help 10 ++++

DO NOT BUY CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE FROM VONS!

I was at this Vons location over the weekend and noted that EVERY ITEM in the clearance section had its price inflated 200%-400% before being reduced by 50%.

I took photos of one example but this was true for literally every single item in the clearance section. I understand that products should be discounted at their normal price but not at a made up price forcing you to pay MORE than the shelf price for an item that is nearing expiration and being sold under "clearance".

It's blatant dishonesty and thievery when people are struggling more than ever to afford food.

Nice well stocked grocery store. Clean, well lit, with helpful employees and good parking. Seemed a bit on the expensive side but I didn’t drill down and do my research. Then again, the nicer places to shop tend to be a bit more expensive. Vons is owned by Albertsons for those of you who care. Not my first choice but I would shop here again.

I had been shopping here for 30 years and no longer planning to return to this store.

Absolutely poor management and new workers need to be taught basic general service.

Vons recently put electronic barriers in the parking lot to stop people from stealing the carts. I get it. But to put the barriers strictly around the lot directly front of the store is a terrible decision. There is a limited number of parking spaces in the lot in front of the store. I had to park further in the west lot because it was during the peak hours and no other parking spots were available. I was unaware of the recent change with the barriers and did not notice the sign posted high above on the parking lot light post. After shopping I could not roll my cart back to my car. The cart stopped with $75 of groceries in the middle of the parking lot. One of the workers walking by told me to go inside and ask one of the workers to turn off the barrier so I could take the groceries to my car. (By the way, this worker would not go inside to help me because she said she was on a smoke break.)

I went inside and spoke to one of the workers standing next to the supervisor’s stand. That worker told me she was on a break and told me to ask one of the cashiers.

I went to a cashier and asked if she could release the barrier because my cart was stuck in the middle of the lot. Her reply, “I am sorry, but I can’t help you. I am too busy right now.”

I told her my groceries were in the cart and is stuck at the barrier. Cars are driving right by it. I asked her what she expected me to do as my cart was unattended. She shook her head and shrugged.

The second cashier was busy counting money and she held up her hand to me when I asked for help. Her gesture clearly told me she was too busy to be interrupted.

I would have demanded to talk to the Manager, but I was in fear of someone taking the groceries from my stranded cart.

I found someone in the parking lot who saw what happened and she said she would watch my cart while I get my car.

It took a complete stranger to help me while the workers at Vons had absolutely no consideration.

Customer service was never this bad as Vons, but there is a tremendous difference in the training (or lack of) based on the instances I witnessed that day. And the management that decided to put barriers around a small percentage of the entire parking lot has failed in understanding the needs of their customers. Parking is already an issue at this lot, and they made it worse. I can’t help but gather they are concerned more about their financial losses over stolen carts verses the concerns of their loyal customers. This is no longer the friendly neighbor store it used to be. Will now shop elsewhere now.

On a busy Friday and only one associate working the meat department! Poor staffing. Sergio is very helpful but it is not fair to him or your customers. There was a manager in the meat department more concerned about something priced incorrectly than the line at the meat counter. I do want to recognize Adam in the meat department. He needs to train everyone on customer service. He's awesome. Everytime I have seen him he goes above and beyond for his customers. Clearly there is an issue with service in the meat department at all the Vons in the Bonita/Eastlake area. 2 weeks, 2 stores and a terrible experience at both. And a suggestion....if you're going to have lines at the meat counter and one associate, you need numbers so there is some sort of order to the chaos your team has created.

11 OCT 2024 Update: Staff still good, if not great-- many of the old school have left or retired. Not particularly well managed. Since the remodel, things are hard to find--organization not as shopper friendly as before, stocks often sparse. Tonight, had the absolutely worst sushi I've ever had in my 74 years of life (including 2 years in Japan). Truly awful--rice not fully cooked, "gag-a-maggot" quality. Sign up, do the electronic coupons, avoid the rest

Staff is great--friendly, helpful, familiar. Stocking is on the short side--frequently run short. A mile and a half from our house, this is our "Go-to" grocery market. Although kind of a "red-haired step-child" to the Eastlake Von's, I prefer proximity and red hair to more distant beautiful children... This is our "go-to" market--make it yours if you're local.

I've been shopping at this Bonita, CA Vons location for years, as it's just about across from my home. Always love shopping here; friendly employees, well stocked, well merchandised and competitive prices. Thanks Bonita, CA Vons!
