I'm delighted to have found this family-owned farm that produces California-grown organic walnuts. I was pleasantly surprised that they have "ambient air-dried" walnuts as well, which are dried without heat - apparently this helps maximize the flavor and preserve the delicate walnut oil. Ordered 6 lbs of those as my first purchased and was not disappointed - arrived very quickly (I live in California so that helps) and the walnuts are superb. Large halves with fantastic flavor and perfect texture. These are so much better than the ones I've been purchasing at Costco for years, and dare I say also better than the ones in Whole Foods bulk section (at least in the stores near me).

I was also very happy for the absolute minimal packaging - arrived in a cardboard box with a simple unmarked plastic bag on the inside. I try to ensure the ecological impact of each purchase as low as possible, so the packaging materials and fewer labels (uses less ink) are important factors to me.

Great job Fillmore Farms! Hope your family continues in the walnut business for many generations to come!

I have been purchasing organic walnuts online from California sources for a number of years. The quality has ranged from ok, nothing to rave about to just plain poor with some of them even having mold. In my continuing search for quality I decided to try Fillmore Farms a couple weeks ago. Without a doubt they have the BEST organic walnuts I have ever tasted. Most of the pieces came as full halfs; not beaten into small pieces like a lot of other places. Packaging was superb and delivery time was excellent. FINALLY I have found a place to buy TOP QUALITY organic walnuts. Many thanks to Fillmore Farms.

I love that these are organic, and that they taste so delicious! My friend swears she normally does not like walnuts, but she loves these. And I love that they come in already chopped sizes - great for sprinkling on salads!!
