I had been struggling with anxiety and depression for quite some time and had tried many medicinal remedies from several different doctors. None of which seemed to help. I finally decided that if I couldn't 'fix' the problem I needed to learn how to deal with it and on the referral of a friend made an appointment with Wellness and Courage. It was the best decision I ever made. I have been in counseling for a year now and have seen tremendous changes in my well-being thanks to my counselor Lauren.

Lauren is the best therapist I’ve had, my state of mind cleared up a lot and my self image wasn’t the horrible mess of hate that it was before going to her. She gave me life changing tools, helped me learn to go live life on my own, and even helped me get a promotion at work with how much my confidence shot up! I loved working with her, though I lost my health insurance and wasn’t able to continue my time in her office. I currently recommend her to everyone, and I’m hoping to get back on her books sometime soon!
Thank you Lauren 🙂

My counselor at Wellness and Courage is Maryam Grimwood. Over the past year she has helped me work through very tough personal problems with the utmost professionalism and compassion. She listens with total concentration and she is highly skilled at identifying contradictions- gently nudging the thinking of others to be more productive and healthy. I listen to every suggestion she offers because she has never steered me wrong. Maryam is the most patient, authentic, and trustworthy therapist I have ever worked with. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to enlist her help in my journey toward better mental health. I highly recommend her to all those who ask.

The office at Wellness & Courage is calming and pleasant, with soft music, refreshments on offer, and beautiful local artwork across the walls. Their business staff have always worked with me when I needed some flexibility. The view from the windows of their offices in the Encore Bank building is among the best in the city of Fayetteville. Gazing out on downtown Fayetteville and the Ozark Mountains works well to set the tone for reflecting and working to see life from a larger perspective. Visiting Wellness & Courage always puts me in a better headspace and prepares me for the challenges ahead.

I have been going to Wellness & Courage for a long time and I highly recommend it to anyone. The environment is warm, welcoming, and peaceful. Everyone there is professional, kind, and genuinely cares about your experience when you visit. My therapist is Wendy and I adore her. She has helped me to learn so many skills that help with my struggles, she listens without judgement, and she is so authentic in how she presents herself and lives her life! I appreciate Wendy and everyone else at Wellness & Courage, and I am so grateful for my experiences at Wellness & Courage.

Wendy Poole and her team at Wellness and Courage have been absolutely wonderful. If it weren’t for Wendy I don’t think I would have been able to climb out of the hole I had dug myself into. Every team member I have had the pleasure of meeting has been incredibly kind, accepting, and professional. The environment that they’ve created is a calm, respectful place to be able to open up and express yourself. If you are looking to better yourself this is the place for you.

Wellness & Courage is such a beautiful office. They keep the lobby so peaceful and serene. It feels like I’m walking into a spa. The staff are very helpful and supportive. The counselors and psychiatrist are all so amazing and helpful. Jamy Hunter, specifically, made me feel immediately comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend her, and everyone at the clinic for their psychiatry and counseling needs!

I have been seeing Krissa Gordon for a little over a year now (weekly) and she has done a phenomenal job. I highly encourage anyone to try this place if they're considering that they may need therapy. After years and years of trauma, I finally feel like I am growing and learning who I have always meant to be (and have wanted to be). It is always scary at first, but with dedication and compassion for yourself (healing doesn't happen over night), you too will begin healing. If you were looking for a sign or a reason to start.... This is it.

If you’d like to waste a year of your time please make an appointment with them and watch them not help you and then drop you and take money they are not owed. I desperately needed help and still do and they are heartless and couldn’t care less if they help or not as long as they get their money. Therapist should help, not hurt. Now I need therapy from you! Laws protecting patients find their way around sometimes though.
