I have been going to Sara, owner of Root and Form, for my hair for over a decade. She is the only hair stylist in my entire life that I have ever committed to. Why? She is incredibly intuitive at her craft and knows how to blend it with your soul and personality. She is genuine and empathetic and can truly sense when you are ready to make a big shift with your hairstyle or maybe gently encourage you to just have a trim. The results over the years have been amazing. She has given me pixie cuts and helped with maintenance in layers when my hair is longer. I have had so many people compliment my hair months afterwards. I am incredibly low maintenance and do absolutely nothing to it so I know it's because Sara has developed a style tuned to the growth and volume of my hair that continues to shine even months later. I absolutely cannot recommend Root and Form enough, the aesthetic is so peaceful, connected with nature and funky. There are high quality teas available for you to enjoy while you are there and also unique gifts and great hair products to peruse. I always look forward to my hair appointments with Sara!!

Sara is an expert stylist who knows exactly what she is doing and the results prove it. What a relief to sit in her chair and know you're in good hands and will leave with a beautiful, stylish cut, without having to worry about the results. The added benefit is that all products are ORGANIC, including the hair coloring products. Sara spent a lot of time with me and my very fine hair. I'm very happy with the cut and color result and will be back again Highly recommend. Also, if you are interested in yoga, there are yoga classes at this lovely salon right behind the Collegeville Diner & Davinci's Restaurant. It truly is a hidden diamond

Was very disappointed with the result of my hair. I am always willing to compromise however I left the studio with many different shades of red in my hair coupled with splotchy colors and rings of red. the back of my head is completely black but the front it’s this strange salmon tone. I payed 155 dollars for this. I tried reaching out and requesting a refund and was completely ignored. I’m just very disappointed and feel scammed

The absolute best! I’ve seen Sara and Lyndsey and they’re both amazing stylists and humans. I feel understood and inspired through out the appointment and always leave feeling totally transformed. If you appreciate the intentionality behind a space and it’s offerings then you will love Root and Form.

Lyndsey is a skilled artist and my bayalage turned out beautifully. I highly recommend her as a well-practiced and competent stylist.

Unfortunately, I could not ethically agree with their business practices. If a service is quoted at $150 and would take 2hrs, but would ultimately cost $234 and 3.5-5hrs, you would think that consent to such an increase in time and money investment would be necessary. But no, after 2.5hrs, I only received a partial bayalage and charged $130 (which is consistent with the pricing for a full bayalage on their website). They never informed me that I had to go back for a second session for a full bayalage and that I would have to pay another $117 to complete the service (that's $130 minus a referral discount.)

Considering that Lyndsey's time is valuable and that the work she completed was beautiful, I would have considered going back for a second session to complete the service and pay her an equitable amount of money for her time IF I had been informed of the new level of obligation from the beginning. No such information was relayed to me during any part of the service. I never consented to such a significant time and price increase and was never told to come back to complete the service. I only found out when I reached out to them a week later. They gaslighted me and claimed that Lyndsey provided clear communication but she never asked and I never consented to that level of investment. What they did was unethical.

Lastly, I have never been able to reach Root and Form by phone. It's only been text or voicemail. The whole conversation occured over text message because they didn't pick up the phone. And after I left a voicemail, they didn't call me back; the owner just argued with me over text.
