Very good place to get food and items, the only problems I have with this is that they don't sell gloves, and I can't buy anything for less than 2 dollars.

I've lived next to the market for 3 plus. 5th street is a neutral, safe area park on one end leading up to Daisey Market, now with EBT! I LOVE IT THERE! BEST NEIGHBORHOOD SPOT!!!! Reminds me of.Coney Island as a child, but classier.

I am 81 years old and I can remember growing up in Long Beach. I lived just down the street of the market at 525 Daisy. That house is gone, but the market lives on. Several years ago I took my wife back to the area to see where I grew up. I was telling about the market as we drove down Daisy and she said "Algoods?" The market was still there. Fond memories of having the butcher let me dig into a large gar of dill pickles he had on the counter. From the reviews I read here, the old Daisy Street Market is alive and well and still at the same location. Don't live there anymore, but I will always be a part of the area.

I used to walk to this store for my mother. In those days, I went to buy ground-round, Dr. Pepper, and a snickers bar.. I used to eat the jelly on the fruit danish in the back of the store where the bread ailes used to be.😁
